What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing well in your life and also enjoying the day with your family and friends. If you are a splinterlands player like me, then most probably you are grinding in the battlefield now and laddering up the trophy road to reach your goal, either reaching a certain league or tier or rather a spot in the champion leaderboard. But I hope you know that we have already crossed the halfway of this ongoing ranked season and looking at the season timer, we only have 6 days and 18 hours left before this season meets its end, so I hope all of you are focusing well on your playing. Now looking at my current status, I started pushing my trophy count aggressively since the start of this ranked season and right now, I am playing at Diamond II tier with a current trophy count of 3,360. As you can see, I am so close to reaching the Diamond I tier and need only 40 more trophies or 2 consecutive wins to reach there. But my ultimate goal is to reach the Champion League and stay there until the season ends and I want to reach there ASAP, cause during the last 2 days, it will be as usual a total bloodbath on the arena. So I will keep trying and let's see if it takes me to my goal before time.

Now moving forward, let me now come to the main topic, as today I will be showcasing another amazing Rebellion reward card with you all that I recently used in battlefield and found very useful. As you have already seen it in the thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the MAR TOREN TRADER with you all, so without any further ado, let jump right into it.

Mar Toren Trader

MAR TOREN TRADER is a monster type card that got launched into the game just recently with the launch of the newest edition reward card set and as usual, you can not buy this card from the market and can only get this card by using Glint points which you would get by actively playing in the ranked format. This card belongs to the Water element and it is a common card, so you would need a total of 400 BCX of cards to upgrade this card to the max level. This card’s attack type is ranged and it costs only 3 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily use this card while playing small to medium mana limit matches or Little Leagues ruleset. Let us now take a further look into this card's league wise stats and abilities to find out more.

BRONZE

At level 3, this card possesses 2 ranged attack at 1 speed with 4 health but it does not get any ability at bronze level. However, its 2 attack along with good health will serve you well in low level matches.

SILVER

As this card gets upgraded to level 5, it gets 2 ranged attack at 2 speed with 4 health and it also gets the Headwinds ability since level 4. With this ability, it can now decrease every enemy range monster’s attack by 1. So, now this monster is super useful against range attackers.

GOLD

When this card reaches level 8, it receives 2 ranged attack at 3 speed with 6 health along with the Headwinds ability that I mentioned above. Though it does not get any new ability at Gold League, its increased health and speed will help you in battles even more.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this monster to level 10, it possesses 2 ranged attack at 3 speed with 7 health and not only that, but it also gets a new ability called Tank Heal at max level. With this new ability, this monster can now Heal the monster in the front position. So now you can make healing lineups using this monster easily.

BATTLE STAT

This time, I got a small 22 mana limit match where 4 elements were available to choose - Water, Earth, Life and Death. There were also 3 rulesets applied in this match - Magic Reflect, Enrage and Rise of Commons and after looking at all these rulesets, I started building my Lineup accordingly and as for my strategy, I decided not to use any magic monsters because of the ruleset.

Now for my lineup, I chose the Water summoner Kelya Frendul and at my first position, I chose the Diemonshark followed by Merdaali Guardian, Kulu Swimhunter and Mar Toren Trader at my last position. When both the lineups got revealed, I saw that my opponent had used the Legendary Earth + Life summoner Eternal Tofu and at his front defense position, he chose the Pelacor Mercenary followed by Celestial Harpy, Venari Crystalsmith and Chaos Agent and Mycelic Morphoid at the end position.

BATTLE PERFORMANCE

As the battle began, my Trader reduced the ranged attack of the crystalsmith down to 1. After my Swimhunter removed the Divine Shield from the Mercenary, my Diemonshark missed its attack but then Trader attacked and broke the armour from Mercenary. In the next round, it again attacked the Mercenary and wounded it down to 4 health and in the next round when my Diemonshark killed down the Mercenary, my Trader targeted the Harpy but sadly missed its attack this time. The Harpy then got killed down by my swimhunter and my Trader successfully attacked the Crystalsmith and took away its Divine shield and at round 5, it finally got able to kill it down. Finally, in round 6, my Diemonshark played really well and killed down the other 2 cards Chaos Agent and Mycelic Morphoid back to back and this, I won this match easily and without losing any of my cards.

I hope you liked watching the battle that I shared and talked about above. Have you also used this monster in your battles? Let me know your experience and thoughts in the comment section below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.
