Splinterlands Brawl Report 06.12.21
Hello friends, I keep fighting in Guild Brawl with PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish guild and in the last round I managed to get 5 wins in 8 battles.
It was very interesting to try out new combos with gladiators from Gladius Case and ready to share my strategies.
Let's start with the wins :)
In the first fight I decided to use Captain Katie, which has helped me out more than once, and because the mana allowed me to do so I increased the Silvershield Assassin's melee attack, and gave the first position to the mighty Shieldbearer.
My opponent was betting on ranged combat, so I had to deal with his first positions quickly.
In the second battle, Golden Cthulhu came out against me, but as is often the case, a few inexpensive cards, plus a nimble Whistling Damon, were good against a clumsy monster that was taking damage on top of my Owster Rotwell summoner.
Flagulon Reine appeared in my deck a couple weeks ago, and I finally got a chance to see it in action. Even though my opponent had Djinn Oshannus and the powerful Torhilo the Frozen card, my Sea Monster and Mages did just fine.
Orella Abadon has a lot of uses because of its low cost, so I decided to bet on a fast attack for this one, putting Pyre's summoner on the board and slowing down my opponent with Creeping Ooze for more effect.
Victories are good, but it's good to learn from defeats.
All the more so, my losses were due to the kind of calls my opponent used.
Byzantine Kitty is great at picking up speed and curing first position. So I was doomed to fail.
In this fight, the reason for my defeat was Marisol Contuma. An excellent gladiator with a good attack, which, in addition, increased the summoner.
And finally, my final defeat came from Delwyn Dragonscale and Phantom of the Abyss combos. A deadly combination!
The new round will start in a few hours, so I'm gaining strength and getting ready for another challenge!
