A Future without Plastic is Big Business

The world produces 800 billion pounds of plastic every year.

Danimer Scientific (DNMR) is working on a solution that could eliminate this trash. The company has designed a new material to replace the need of plastic called polyhydroxyalkanates (PHAs). These are natural and biodegradable polyesters synthesized by microorganisms.

The companies leading product is called Nodax which is an alternative to traditional plastics which is degradable in about 18 mounts leaving behind no harmful toxins or microplastics.

This is a perfect fit for companies looking to be more environmentally friends such as major bottling companies (Pepsi even owns a 6% stake in the business).

With such a large market to disrupt this company has plenty of growth over the decades to come. Now is the perfect time to begin dollar cost averaging as the share price has fallen substantially.
