Hello Splintermates and Fellow Hiveans,

Last week, the opportunity to purchase my first land plot arrive and i purchased 3 land plot to start my @splinterlands land journey. I was lucky enough that the one plot i bought has been developed. It was previously active producing SPS and the two was not developed so i just started to activate and now under construction.

MY FIRST DAY HARVEST WAS A FAILURE

Since the one plot was developed (worksite is ready and no need to undergo constructing the worksite ) and been previously producing SPS i just continue to activate it by buying power core since i don't have a runi then provide workers to run the production.

Finally i was able to produce 3.245 SPS per day but wait inorder for me to produce SPS i need some resources to produce it. I need grain to feed the worker , i need wood , stone and iron. So before i harvest the 3.245 SPS i needed to less my cost . Based from the computation on the table above which was all converted in DEC i was able to produce 32.05 DEC but my cost is around 54.062 DEC which tells me i'm in a net negative -22.011 DEC. That means my production is inefficient. No wonder a lot of land veterans like @azircon , @jedo @goldmatters speak about land efficiency. A day ago i happen to read @azircon blog regarding land efficiency ratio's ( . Land efficiency was very important inorder to be in a positive territory . It does not mean that a whale with a lot of land is the most profitable when efficiency is now achieved or balanced out. So my goal is to achieved efficient production first while my 2 lot worksite is under construction.

CHANGING SPS PRODUCTION INTO WOOD PRODUCTION

In order for me to achieved efficiency i need to change my production in search of what works. So i need to change the worksite into a logging camp to produce wood and i was able to do it in a day witout using time crystal to speed up cosnstruction.

So as of now the production is in progress as i was able to find that the efficiency is achieved. For efficiency computation i was able to produce 798.172 wood and needed around 1319.293 grain to harvest. To translate into DEC i will be able to produce 28.14 DEC with 13.122 expenses netting a positive 15.018 DEC which is taxable.

THE QUESTION NOW IS, IS LAND PROFITABLE?

The answer to that is yes land is profitable but the question still lies in the efficiency and how long the ROI is. Talking about return i need to understand first what are my cost :

DESCRIPTIONCOST IN DEC
Land Plot13000 bought via P2P so i was able to reduce cost
Power Core5000
Staked DEC10000
Worker Cost14000 (Bought this worker @12 USD 3 years ago now can purchase at 8000 DEC
Total Cost42000

So with the cost and possible production atleast we can say for now that it takes years for the ROI. But take note with land on going developent and the direction of land is becoming clearer and clearer and one day we will tell to ourselves that i should had by more lands. You can also read @beaker007 to understand more on land as he often post about land @ @Bronzedrag0n_Gaming also got a youtube talking about land.

WHAT IS MY NEXT STEP NOW.

Having achieve efficiecy and now my 2 plots is under construction i continuously looking for some cards in the market to use as workers option .

As this month i was able to buy some goldfoil chaos and riftwatcher card in preparation for my additional land production. I was able to buy maxed gold foil gargoya lion at 5 USD and maxed gold foil summoner tarsa at 22 USD which is far the cheapest in the market, maxed goldfoil disintegrator at 6 USD and maxed gold foil rune crafter at 7 USD. Hope i can snipe some more.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I though land is like a plug and play but didn't realize you need to spend time inorder to understand how it works. Reading some guidelines and other player land experience and even watching fellow splintermates and hiveans youtube regarding @splinterland lands. Aside from that you need to do trial and error by yourself to find efficiecy and learn from those people who achieve it. Only by trying to achieve land efficiency i find that there is a little fun into it. For now the goal is to make my 3 plot in production soon once the 2 plot ongoing construction complete.... vonak...
