Hey Vibes fam,
It’s BabyMoyin here again for Week 34 of the Vibes Web3 Music Competition.
This week, I’m singing "Rockabye" by Clean Bandit ft. Anne-Marie to celebrate Mother’s Day and to be honest, this one is really close to my heart.
While preparing for this week, I just found myself thinking a lot about my mum. She’s one of the strongest people I know. Like, she has carried so much on her shoulders but still shows up with so much love, softness, and kindness. She’s the kind of woman that would sacrifice everything just to make sure we’re okay, and at the same time, she’s my safe space with her warm hugs, prayers, and gist.
This song reminds me of her. The way she always puts her children first. The strength. The love. The way she never gives up, no matter how hard things get. I honestly got emotional recording this one because it just took me back to so many moments, times she held it all together when things were falling apart.
So yeah, this performance is for my mum… and for every mum out there doing their best, even when nobody sees them. Y’all are the real MVPs.
