Hello my dear friends from Foodies Bee Hive, in this opportunity I will take you for a walk to Potrero de los Funes to do some reviews to some food places.
Potrero de los Funes, just so you know, offers different experiences, among them the beautiful dam that is located a few minutes away from the restaurant area. This time I did not go because I already knew it and I preferred to focus on what is in this small urban center.
Anyway, I will show you some landscapes of Potrero so you can see how beautiful it is, even if you only go there to eat something.

Hola mis queridos amigos de Foodies Bee Hive, en esta oportunidad me los llevaré a pasear a Potrero de los Funes para hacer unas reseñas a algunos locales de comidas.
Potrero de los Funes, solo para que lo sepan, ofrece diferentes experiencias, entre ellas el hermoso dique que se encuentra a pocos minutos de la zona de restaurantes. Esta vez no fui porque ya lo conocía y preferí hacer foco en lo que hay en este pequeño núcleo urbano.
Igualmente les acerco algunos paisajes de Potrero para que vean lo bonito que es, aunque solamente vayas a comer algo.
Papanato, restaurant and bar
This place specializes in potatoes, you can order different styles of potatoes, all very tasty. At least in Mendoza this place is exquisite. But... what happened in San Luis?
It turns out that although the service was really excellent, and the place was beautiful, the potatoes were not so good.
We ordered a papas cabronas and some papas provoletas. The former promised to have a spicy Mexican sauce and avocado cream, along with salsa criolla (onion and red bell pepper), although they were really delicious, they didn't have any avocado, so we were left wanting more. The sauce did sting, so we ordered another potato to calm the sensation.
The papas provoletas, very tasty, but they came in a kind of broth, and you can imagine that french fries with liquid does not go very well together, but the flavor was exquisite and the cheese took all the prizes.
Papanato, restaurante y bar
Este lugar está especializado en papas, puedes pedir diferentes estilos de patatas, todas muy sabrosas. Al menos en Mendoza este lugar es exquisito. Pero… ¿qué pasó en San Luis?
Resulta que aunque la atención fue realmente excelente, y el lugar estaba precioso, las papas no venían tan buenas.
Pedimos una papas cabronas y unas papas provoletas. Las primeras prometían traer una picante salsa mexicana y crema de palta, junto con salsa criolla (cebolla y morrón), aunque estaban realmente muy ricas, no tenían nada de palta, así que nos quedamos con las ganas. La salsa sí que picaba, por lo que después pedimos otras papas para calmar la sensación.
Las papas provoletas, muy ricas, pero venían en una especie de caldo, y se imaginarán que papas fritas con líquido no combina mucho, igualmente el sabor estaba exquisito y el queso se llevaba todos los premios.
Lunamakena
We went to this place 2 hours before the departure of my bus, we just wanted to eat something quick, but it was not possible.
The place is beautiful and I took several pictures because it is very attractive. It is a complex of cabins that also offers a restaurant and cafeteria. As I like tea very much, Gaby wanted me to try a tea tasting with sweet and savory things that they make only in that place, but it turns out that they move with schedules, and the time to ask for that, had already passed.
Gaby told me it was exquisite and from what I have read, it has very good reviews, but we had to leave because the other option was a pizza and there was no more time to wait.
With Gaby we sat in the outside area of this place and while the waiters were approaching, I took the opportunity to take the nice pictures that I have left here.
Lunamakena
Fuimos a este lugar 2 horas antes de la salida de mi bus, solo queríamos comer algo rápido, pero no fue posible.
El lugar es hermoso y tomé varías fotos porque es sumamente llamativo. Es un complejo de cabañas que además ofrece restaurante y cafetería. Como me gusta mucho el té, Gaby quería que probara una degustación de té con cositas dulces y saladas que hacen solamente en ese lugar, pero resulta que se mueven con horarios, y la hora para pedir eso, ya había pasado.
Gaby me dijo que era exquisito y por lo que he leído, tiene muy buenas reseñas, pero nos tuvimos que ir porque la otra opción era una pizza y no había más tiempo para esperar.
Con Gaby nos sentamos en el sector de afuera de este sitio y mientras los camareros se acercaban, aproveché para tomar las bonitas fotos que les he dejado por aquí.
Artisanal flavor
As we left Lunamakena I told Gaby that we should go for tea at a place I had seen while she was driving, I didn't know the name but I recognized the corner, so we headed to Sabor Artesanal, whose name we discovered once there.
Beautiful, very beautiful. It is one of those places that appears to be very simple, but its flavors are so exquisite that you just want to come back.
It was 3:30 pm, so there was no one there. We went in and asked if we could ask for the breakfast promotion (yes, hehe, breakfast), which came with 1 croissant, 1 pancake, 1 orange juice, 1 mini fruit salad, 1 drink (tea, coffee with milk or coffee), 2 toasts. And to this we added 1 marroc chocolate each.
Our mouths were literally watering. Everything was very, very tasty, and the price was much cheaper than in Lunamakena, so we enjoyed that meal, which was our breakfast and lunch at that time.
This place specializes in facturas, so you can simply stop by and buy something tasty to eat to go.
Sabor artesanal
Al salir de Lunamakena le dije a Gaby que fuéramos a tomar un te a un lugar que había visto mientras ella manejaba, no sabía el nombre pero reconocía la esquina, así que nos dirigimos a Sabor Artesanal, cuyo nombre descubrimos una vez allí.
Hermoso, muy bello. Es uno de esos lugares que aparenta ser muy simple, pero que sus sabores son tan exquisitos que lo único que quieres es volver.
Eran las 15:30, por lo que no había nadie allí. Entramos y preguntamos si podíamos pedir la promoción del desayuno (sí, jeje, del desayuno), que venía con 1 medialuna, 1 tortita, 1 jugo de naranja, 1 mini ensalada de frutas, 1 bebida (té, cafe con leche o café), 2 tostados. Y a esto le agregamos 1 bombón marroc cada una.
Se nos hacía agua la boca, literalmente. Todo estaba muy pero muy rico, y el precio era mucho más económico que en Lunamakena, así que disfrutamos de aquella comida, que fue nuestro desayuno y almuerzo a esa hora.
Este lugar se especializa en facturas, por lo que sencillamente puedes pasar y comprar algo rico para comer en modo para llevar.
I loved getting to know this other side of Potrero de los Funes. It offers the traditional San Luis in terms of places and the food you can eat. The ideal plan is to spend some time at the dam and then go to the bars and restaurants to enjoy something delicious.
Apparently it has a quite dynamic nightlife in terms of going out for a drink, so it is also nice, on a weekend, to go to this place if you are in the city of San Luis.
Me encantó conocer este otro lado de Potrero de los Funes. Ofrece lo tradicional de San Luis en cuanto a los lugares y en cuanto a las comidas que puedes consumir. El plan ideal es ir a pasar un rato en el dique y luego acercarte a la zona de bares y restaurantes para disfrutar de algo rico.
Aparentemente tiene una vida nocturna bastante dinámica en cuanto a salir a tomar algo, por lo que también es lindo, un fin de semana, acercarse a este lugar si estás en la Ciudad de San Luis.
