Writing a post days ago about books and movies I made reference about some novels I have read and I realized that even though those books were taken to movie format I have never written about them and it’s not that I feel sorry for them or anything, erotic novels are quite entertaining and even addictive, but I don’t know why I have done it. It’s been several years since the three movies of ”50 shades of Grey “ were released and when I saw them I felt like when I was reading the books, the movie has that magic to take you and make you live the same feelings as when reading the book, besides the actors chosen for the characters seemed fantastic to me, with an unmatched chemistry.
But, a few days ago I saw a Spanish movie released in 2024 titled ”Pídeme lo que quieras “ and from this story I read five books, when you look them up on the internet it says that it is a trilogy, but in reality the author Megan Maxwell wrote seven books with the life of Judith Flores and Eric Zimmerman, and of those seven I read five, At that time I became obsessed, the books are really quite intense, with great detail in the scenes, not only in the erotic scenes but also in the romantic scenes with everyday situations, of the rich, because it just so happens that in both novels, the male protagonist is a super millionaire and he is the one who has a type of sexual practice that could be called exotic. Because for example, the places where Eric takes Judith are not places for middle or lower class people. Everything is very exclusive.

Escribiendo una publicación hace días sobre libros y películas hice referencia sobre algunas novelas que he leído y me di cuenta que aunque esos libros fueron llevados al formato de película nunca he escrito sobre ellos y no es que me dé pena ni nada, las novelas eróticas son bastante entretenidas y hasta adictivas, pero no sé porque lo he hecho. Ya hace varios años que se estrenaron las tres películas de ”50 sombras de Grey” y cuando las vi me sentí como cuando estaba leyendo los libros, la película tiene esa magia de llevarte y hacerte vivir los mismos sentimientos que al leer el libro, a demás los actores escogidos para los personajes me parecieron fantásticos, con una química inigualable.
Pero, hace unos días vi una película española estrenada en 2024 titulada “Pídeme lo que quieras” y de esta historia leí cinco libros, cuando los buscas en internet dice que es una trilogía, pero en realidad la autora Megan Maxwell escribió siete libros con la vida de Judith Flores y Eric Zimmerman, y de esos siete yo leí cinco, en aquel momento me obsesione, de verdad que los libros son bastante intensos, con gran detalle en las escenas no solo en las eróticas sino también es las románticas con situaciones cotidianas, de los ricos, porque casualidad que en las dos novelas, el protagonista masculino es súper millonario y es quien tiene un tipo de práctica sexual que se podría llamar exótica. Porque por ejemplo, los sitios a los que Eric lleva a Judith no son sitios para personas de clase media o baja. Todo es muy exclusivo.
When I heard about the movie I liked the idea of seeing these characters that I knew for months reading the books, although I knew it would be difficult to bring all that intensity to the screen, it is not something that many people want to see in a movie, but I still wanted to see what a creative mind could do with these stories.
I must confess that I didn’t feel the same as with ”50 Shades of Grey “, I don’t want to say that I was disappointed because I wasn’t, but although the actors have the characteristics of those described in the novel and they are both good looking, I felt that the chemistry was very little. I didn’t feel in love or connected with them. It all seemed very mechanical, it lacked naturalness.
But I still haven’t told you what the movie is about.
Cuando me enteré de la película me gustó la idea de ver a estos personajes que conocí durante meses leyendo los libros, aunque sabía que iba a ser difícil llevar toda esa intensidad a la pantalla, no es algo que mucha gente quiere ver en una película, pero de igual manera quería ver qué podía hacer una mente creativa con esta historias.
Debo confesar que no me pasó lo mismo que con ”50 Sombras de Grey”, no quiero decir que me sentí decepcionada porque no fue así, pero aunque los actores tienen la características de los descritos en la novela y están bien guapos los dos, me pareció que la química fue muy poca. No me sentí enamorada ni conectada con ellos. Parecía todo muy mecánico, faltó naturalidad.
Pero todavía no les he contado de que se trata la película.
Judith Flores works as a secretary in a transnational company, she is adventurous, not afraid to try new things, single, but with casual sexual encounters with an ex, a woman who in a way feels dissatisfied with her sex life. Eric Zimmerman is the son of the recently deceased owner of the company where Judith works, he is of German origin and arrives in Spain to take charge of the company. He is a man with a particular taste in sexual practices who, observing that Judith is a curious woman, tries to incorporate her to his tastes, making her live some new experiences that at first disconcert her but that little by little she gives herself the opportunity to experiment.
Judith Flores trabaja como secretaria en una transnacional, ella es aventurera, sin miedo a probar cosas nuevas, soltera, pero con encuentros sexuales de manera casual con un ex, una mujer que en cierta forma se siente poco satisfecha con su vida sexual. Eric Zimmerman es el hijo del recién fallecido dueño de la empresa donde trabaja Judith, es de origen Alemán y llega a España para hacerse cargo de la empresa. Es un hombre con un particular gusto en cuanto a la práctica sexual que al observar que Judith es una mujer con curiosidad, trata de incorporarla a sus gustos haciendo que viva algunas experiencias nuevas para ella que al principio la desconciertan pero que poco a poco se da la oportunidad de experimentar.
Although the movie contains the story it did not awaken in me that excitement and feeling that the books did. I confess that there are a couple of scenes that reflect Eric’s tastes and Judith’s willingness to experiment, they were well taken care of scenes where it was not shown too much, so it didn’t look vulgar and they incorporated the scene where Judith is initiated into the world of threesomes, but she does it unconsciously, so that the act can be considered as sexual abuse, but although she gets angry when she finds out she does not make an official complaint (as it happens in the book) she still likes it and continues experimenting in this way and others that may be taboo for many. If you don’t know the books you should already suspect what Eric’s extravagant tastes are about.
Although I still feel that the books are much better than the movie and I didn’t feel anything when I saw it, rather I felt like fast forwarding it in certain parts that became annoying, I did finish watching it and in the last part Judith shares a scene with the writer of the novel where she tells her that she still has things to live and in reality the experience is not over, she will have a lot to live. I don’t know if they have plans to continue developing the story in other movies, but even though it’s not my favorite I wouldn’t refuse to see it.

Aunque la película contiene la historia no despertó en mí esa emoción y la sensación que los libros si hicieron. Confieso que hay un par de escenas que reflejan los gustos de Eric y la disposición de Judith por experimentar, fueron escenas bien cuidadas donde no se mostró de más, de manera que no se viera vulgar e incorporaron la escena donde Judith se inicia en el mundo de los trio, pero lo hace inconscientemente, de manera que el acto puede ser considerado como abuso sexual, pero aunque ella se enoja al enterarse no hace una denuncia oficial (tal cual así sucede en el libro) de igual manera le gusta y sigue experimentando por ese camino y otros que pueden resultar como un tabú para muchos. Si no conoces los libros ya debes sospechar de que van los gustos extravagantes de Eric.
Aunque me sigue pareciendo que los libros son mucho mejores que la película y que al verla no sentí nada, más bien sentí ganas de adelantarla en cierta partes que se tornaron fastidiosas, si terminé de verla y en la última parte Judith comparte una escena con la escritora de la novela donde le dice que todavía le quedan cosas por vivir y en realidad la experiencia no ha terminado, ella tendrá mucho que vivir. No sé si tengan planes de seguir desarrollando la historia en otras películas, pero aunque no es mi favorita no me negaría a verla.
