A mother’s life changes drastically after letting her young daughter sleep at her new best friend’s house. This is the premise of the six-episode miniseries that you can find on Disney+, a production within the genre of drama, suspense, crime and intrigue, which has several plot twists that will keep you without eyelashes.
Elisa, a stewardess for private flights, arrives late one day to pick up her little daughter Lucía and meets Rebecca and her daughter Josephine. The two girls ask to play in the afternoon and Elisa agrees to let Rebecca take her home, but then she gets a call because Lucía (Lulu) wants to stay over, but before agreeing to the request, Elisa visits Rebecca’s house to take some things to her daughter. Nothing out of the ordinary, a nice house, a loving mother, nothing that would make her suspect that something bad would happen. Until the next day when she goes to look for her daughter and doesn’t find them and her whole life changes completely.

La vida de una madre cambia drásticamente luego de dejar dormir a su pequeña hija en casa de su nueva mejor amiga del colegio. Está es la premisa que presenta la miniserie de seis capítulos que puedes encontrar en Disney+, una producción dentro del género de drama, suspenso, crimen e intriga, que cuenta con varios giros argumentativos que te mantendrán sin pestañas.
Elisa (Denise Gough), es azafata de vuelos privados y un día llegando tarde a buscar a su pequeña hija Lucía, conoce a Rebecca (Holliday Grainger) y a su hija Josephine. Las dos niñas piden jugar en la tarde y Elisa acepta que Rebecca la lleve a su casa, pero luego recibe una llamada porque Lucía (Lulú) quiere quedarse a dormir, pero antes de acceder a la petición, Elisa visita la casa de Rebecca para llevar algunas cosas a su hija. Nada fuera de lo normal, una casa bonita, una madre amorosa, nada que le hiciera sospechar que algo malo pasaría. Hasta el día siguiente cuando va a buscar a su hija y no las encuentra y toda su vida cambia por completo.
The twists in the story are presented from the second chapter, you can go from thinking badly of the parents and then go back to the beginning and see them as the victims. Only Selma, a journalist for a digital newspaper, becomes obsessed with discovering the real reason for the kidnapping. For their part, the police investigate the parents, Fred (Jim Sturgessy) and Elisa, their private lives in search of clues as to why their daughter was chosen for the kidnapping, which Selma also does, bringing to light the dark secrets of the family that she discovers and that gets her into trouble but also gets her out of it.
It is a series that requires concentration, as the plot changes quickly and you need to know what has been the new piece of information that brings us closer to discovering why Lucía, so we gradually assemble a puzzle of events that will help us understand the actions of the main characters, who would be the mother and the kidnapper of the girl. Every time there is an important piece of information in the investigation we are offered a flashback giving details and where the time is indicated, before or after the theft of Lucía.
Los giros en la historia se presentan desde el segundo capítulos, se puede pasar de pensar mal de los padres y luego volver al inicio y verlos como las víctimas. Solo Selma (Ambika Mod), una periodista de un diario digital se obsesiona por descubrir la verdadera razón del secuestro. Por su parte la policía investiga a los padres, Fred (Jim Sturgessy) y Elisa, sus vidas privadas en busca de indicios del porqué su hija fue elegida para el secuestro, cosa que también hace Selma, sacando a la luz los oscuros secretos de la familia que va descubriendo y que la mete en problemas pero que también la saca de ellos.
Es una serie que requiere de concentración, ya que la trama cambia rápidamente y necesitas saber cual ha sido el nuevo dato que nos acerca a descubrir porqué Lucía, de esa manera vamos poco a poco armando un rompecabeza de acontecimientos que nos ayudarán a entender las acciones de los personajes principales, que serían la madre y la secuestradora de la niña. Cada vez que hay un dato importante en la investigación nos ofrecen un flashback dando detalles y dónde se indica el tiempo, antes o después del robo de Lucía.
It is a very entertaining miniseries that keeps you attentive without blinking, but does not wait until the last chapter to give results but we are seeing them and tying ends. I really liked that everything was changing, including the dynamics of the characters and in the end nothing was even similar to how it started. But I can’t say much because I don’t want to make any spoilers, I really consider it a miniseries that deserves to be seen and discovered little by little. So if you like this genre I recommend it and if you have already seen it I would like you to leave me a comment to know what your opinion is.
Es una miniserie muy entretenida que te mantiene atento sin parpadear, pero que no espera hasta el último capítulo para dar resultados sino que los vamos viendo y atando cabos. Me gustó mucho que todo fue cambiando, incluyendo la dinámica de los personajes y al final nada quedó ni parecido de como empezó. Pero no puedo decir mucho porque no quiero hacer ningún tipo de spoiler, de verdad considero que es una miniserie que merece ser vista y descubierta poco a poco. Así que si te gusta este género te la recomiendo y si ya la vistes me gustaría que me dejaras un comentario para saber cuál es tu opinión.
