Continuing with my series to watch over the weekend that turned out to be about different types of couples , yesterday I shared with you the first one “Valiendo Madres” and today I tell you about The Four Seasons this time from Netflix production company and headed by great actors of the comedy genre such as Steve Carell, Tina Fey and Will Forte among others.

Siguiendo con mi fin de semana viendo series que resultaron ser sobre diferentes tipos de parejas , ayer les compartir la primera “Valiendo Madres” y hoy les cuento sobre ”Las Cuatro Estaciones” en esta ocasión de la productora Netflix y encabezado por grandes actores del género de la comedia como Steve Carell, Tina Fey y Will Forte entre otros.
This series is about three married couples who have been friends since college and are now in their 50s, with seemingly solid and happy marriages. We have the couple between Jack (Will Forte) and Kate (Tina Fey), Nick (Steve Carell) and Kerri Kenney-Silve, plus a gay couple made up of Claude (Marco Cavani) and Danny (Colman Domingo).
They all get together in the spring to celebrate Nick and Anne’s 25th wedding anniversary, all very happy until Nick confesses to his friends that he is waiting for the weekend to be over to ask Anne for a divorce, because he is no longer happy, he is very sure that he has not been happy for years. Anne, on the other hand, organizes a wedding renewal as a surprise for her husband. Can you imagine how this ends?
Está serie se trata sobre tres parejas casadas que han mantenido amistad desde la universidad y ya son personas mayores de 50 años, con matrimonios aparentemente sólidos y felices. Tenemos la pareja entre Jack (Will Forte) y Kate (Tina Fey), Nick (Steve Carell) y Kerri Kenney-Silve, además una pareja gay conformada por Claude (Marco Cavani) y Danny (Colman Domingo).
Todos se reúnen en primavera para celebrar los 25 años de casados de Nick y Anne, todos muy felices hasta que Nick confiesa a sus amigos que está esperando que termine el fin de semana para pedirle el divorcio a Anne, porque ya no es feliz, está muy seguro de no serlo desde hace años. Por su parte Anne organiza una renovación de boda como sorpresa para su esposo. ¿Ya se imaginarán como termina esto?
We meet again with the group in the next season “Summer” where great changes have occurred within the couples, there are always things to tell each other about what happened during the months they did not see each other, they are friends who over the years have learned to know each other, so they try to support each other in every decision, as well as they are quite sincere how to face the other when they believe that something is out of place.
This is how the other two seasons go by, when they meet again thanks to the planning of an event in autumn and the end of the year in winter. Each meeting becomes a discovery of their life as a couple and even more so after Nick falls in love with Ginny, a woman much younger than him, about 20 years younger. That change in the dynamic of these friends makes them realice many of the things that may not be so right in their own couples, but it also makes them not want the same thing to happen to them as their friends Nick and Anne, so communication becomes an important factor in every situation.
Nos volvemos a encontrar con el grupo en la siguiente estación “Verano” donde han ocurrido grandes cambios dentro de las parejas, siempre hay cosas que contarse de lo que pasaron durante los meses que no se vieron, son amigos que con los años han aprendido a conocerse, por lo que tratan de apoyarse en cada decisión, así como también son bastantes sinceros como encarar al otro cuando creen que algo está fuera de su lugar.
Así transcurren las otras dos estaciones en la que se vuelven a encontrar gracias a la planificación de un evento en otoño y fin de año en invierno. Cada encuentro se convierte en un descubrimiento de su vida en pareja y más después de que Nick se enamora de Ginny, una mujer mucho menor que él, como 20 años menor. Ese cambio en la dinámica de estos amigos hace que se den cuenta de muchas de las cosas que puede que no estén tan bien en sus propias parejas, pero también hace que no quieran que les pase lo mismo que a sus amigos Nick y Anne, por lo que la comunicación se convierte en un factor importante en cada situación.
The eight chapters pass in a very pleasant way, since the situations change for each couple or for all of them in each season, which makes it entertaining. The fact that each meeting takes place in a different season of the year, makes the atmosphere change every two chapters, because at no time except for the first one where they were at Nick and Anne’s house, in the rest the other meetings happen in a place where they are on vacation and where they live together in the same place.
It is always good to see this kind of productions where the different personalities and the different types of couples are put in evidence; how some are able to stay together despite the problems (because everyone has problems) and others on the contrary separate and start a new life that makes them become or take out of them a new personality that surprises the people around them.
Los ocho capítulos transcurren de manera muy amena, ya que las situaciones cambian para cada pareja o para todas en cada estación, lo que hace que sea entretenida. El hecho de que cada encuentro se realice en una estación del año, hace que el ambiente cambien cada dos capítulos, pues en ningún momento a excepción de la primera que estaban en casa de Nick y Anne, en el resto los otros encuentros suceden en un lugar donde están de vacaciones y donde conviven en el mismo lugar.
Siempre es bueno ver este tipo de producciones donde se pone a evidencia las diferentes personalidades y los diferentes tipos de parejas; como unos son capaces de mantenerse juntos a pesar de los problemas (porque todos tiene problemas) y otros al contrario se separan y empiezan una nueva vida que los hace convertirse o sacar de ellos una nueva personalidad que sorprende a las personas que tienen a su alrededor.
