BuzzParty 2025 in Graz
I had these photos up for almost two day now, but i was always better with taking photos then writing :)
From the moment i learned about the event, and seeing where Graz is on the map i was sure i want to go. Was just not sure how. As always i managed to leave everything till the last day, booked the room a week before and found the mini buss (van) just 4 days before the trip.
But, everything ended up even better then i imagined. A direct line from Belgrade to Graz, and driving you to the address. What more can you ask from a transport?
With a trip that started at 3:30AM (not great when you usually go to sleep later) and finished around 12:30PM (The driver thought he is on a Formula 1 driver's test) i was in Graz almost a full day before the official start.
What i learned from Amsterdam and Split, getting at least one day before will save you from memory gaps from lack of sleep for the rest of the event.
You probably read like 10 recaps of the event so i will spare you from reading it again :D
Overall you always learn something new about Hive projects, even when you think you do your best to follow everything you can.
SPACELEND was a great location, with everything this kind of an event needed.
Thing about Hive is, it is more then just a database writing blocks. And i am pretty sure most people who attended a live event will confirm that.
To be honest, i am mostly a second meeting guy. If i met you for the first time, especially in a bigger group, there is a big chance we will not be talking much. But second time, i will probably have a feeling i know you for ages :D
This reminded me, i should check out the newcomer. Anyone knows his username? :D
I didn't take a lot of photos on the first day, as i was busy catching up with everyone. Also no photos from the city walk (i don't like to be a photographer in a group of people walking on a mission), and no photos of the Schnitzel. Not a food photographer but considering how many of them i eat, i was surprised i have 0 photos of it.
On a way back i was tricked to walk over the hill. Not sure why people like to climb up and down, when there is perfectly flat path.
First day was more of a mingling and talking with everyone. Second was presentations from early morning.
After the presentations i was tricked into walking to Schloss Eggenberg. No hills, at leas :D
I would complain about the hot sun, but it's been raining for 4 days strait at the moment, so the weather was great. And Hive umbrella was great for sun protection.
We came in late, so the museums located at Schloss Eggenberg were already closing. But lack of people gave some interesting opportunities for photography.
I must admit, it is an interesting place for "street" photography.
And all the arcs and pillars with people sprinkled around are offering an opportunity for some interesting shots.
I could see myself spending several afternoons here just waiting for moments :D
A group that took the buss also got beer with them. Not a bad idea. And it was nice that Schloss Eggenberg has a picnic area.
Special thanks to Seckorama for the special beers he brought and a Happy birthday (a bit late)

There are 149 photos, and it would be a bit too much for a post. Even this is probably a lot.
And feel free to use the photos. Mention would be nice, not a requirement :D
