Wednesday's walk takes me to the same park where my footsteps have pounded dozens of times before, and will hopefully continue to do so.

Circus Park in Bucharest.

The Metropolitan Circus in Bucharest is housed in a building that resembles a UFO, a classic flying saucer shape, as observed and photographed since the middle of the last century. I'm not sure how real they were. In my adolescence and youth, I was fascinated by these objects. I read a lot of books, I saw a lot of movies, but now I doubt it was real.

Descending to the lake, more or less a pond full of ducks and other birds, but also some special flowers, Egyptian lotus, which is visible and blooms in the middle of summer, and, unfortunately, now is not visible.

The pond has a relatively round shape and is surrounded, obviously, by an alley, perfect for walking and contemplation. I've written about this park many times and I don't have much more to say without repeating myself.

My salvation I think is what the initiator of this challenge, @tattoodjay, suggests we should do on a walk:

Make a point of looking around and up to see what you can find to get shots of that; otherwise, you may miss it

I realized that this challenge transformed into a community, this big community of walkers, that is most people, is, first and foremost, focused on photography.

For a city dweller, there are not many places where you can easily photograph without stress and find unique images, not only houses, streets and cars.

Sometimes, by choosing to photograph certain areas of the park, you can even leave the impression that the images are from the middle of nature, far away from the city.

But you can't fool them for long, because, like it or not, it's inevitable that landmarks of the city will appear in the pictures, especially buildings...

Even if these blocks quickly contradict the idea that we are in the wilderness, I think they also bring something interesting in the photos, namely, that there can be a beautiful cohabitation between the city and nature.

The benefit is mutual, the walkers enjoy the nature piece of the park and the pond inhabitants, the small aquatic life, get food from them.

I always start with photos when I want to write a blog. Photos remind me of places, events, and feelings that turn into words.

A wise saying goes that an image is worth a thousand words.

Everything depends on the beholder.

Make a point of looking around and up to see what you can find to get shots of that; otherwise, you may miss it.
