WHY GOVERNMENTS MUST INVESTIGATE PEOPLES SOURCE OF POVERTY AND NOT JUST THEIR SOURCE OF INCOME
Its no longer news how the government of some countries go after people who are financially rich and wealthy most especially when they feel that your source of income is not known,in Nigeria for instance the government has set investigation on some of the citizens to questions them on their source of income,but one thing I am so concerned about and dislike so much about the government is that they refuse to investigate why people are poor just the same way they investigate people with great financial power.
There are so many poor people in the country which I am very sure that they are aware of and they see all of this because they are always moving from one place to another.The rate of poverty in the country is very high that for some people to feed a day is very big problem,you see beggers everywhere around the streets and market squares,yet they have never for once take their time to see how they could alleviate poverty in people instead they seems to be happy to see people suffering.
If you are a youth and you start making financial progress before you know what is happening your life will already be in jeopardy all because you growing financially,the government send DSS and other government agent to come after you.its either they are terming you a cyber criminal or they will just look for a way to make sure that you are been investigated
Am not against the issue of investigating peoples source of income as some people could have a deceitful way of making money but in as much as they are doing this,they should also make effort of helping to get ride of peoples poverty. Some many people have been brought down financially by the government,they ruined a lot of people's life financially through several means,they are taxed heavily or they just do something to make sure they sweep you off your feet
Take for instance the bus drivers,this set of people earn their living by moving people from one place to another it happens,that this people one way or the other they may violate traffic laws and sometime they don't,the government officials will definitely look for means to make sure this people become defaulters from there they are been billed heavily.i once met a driver who said his bus has been bin the station for more than a month all Because he could not pay the amount of money he was charged.he pleaded but they refused to release his bus to him not untill hen he went to borrow money to pay before his bus was released to him. This is one way by which the government themselves are impoverishing the people through their ridiculous means, such as making people to heavy taxes and yet people struggle to make a living from their business,now inflation is ravaging the face of the country which is making life more harder for the less privileged.
Most governments officials who are suppose to be investigated escape investigation because one Way or the other they are able to cover up for their corruptive acts because they are the ones responsible for the high level of poverty in certain most especially in the developing countries.
Investigating peoples source of poverty should be a major concern to government of any country because this will actually go along way in alleviating poverty.
