This time I want to recommend a cake that is very easy to make and also very good for entertaining guests who come to the house. With a sweet taste, I think this cake will be liked by everyone.

Actually, we only make this cake on big days, such as the celebration of Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha and other big days. This cake is also usually present at wedding parties in my village.




Let's just prepare the necessary ingredients, let's see the steps below!

Ingredients Used

Glutinous Rice Ingredients

  • 250 grams of white glutinous rice
  • 400 ml of coconut milk
  • 2 sheets of pandan leaves

Soup Ingredients / Mixture

  • 100 grams of brown sugar

  • 3 tablespoons of white sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

  • 200 ml of liquid coconut milk

  • 300 ml of thick coconut milk

  • 2 sheets of pandan leaves



How to Cook:

Cooking Glutinous Rice.

First, wash the glutinous rice thoroughly. then drain.

  • Then put the coconut milk into the glutinous rice, and also the pandan leaves. Cook until the coconut milk reduces and stir continuously.

  • Then prepare the steamer.

After the coconut milk has reduced, then move the glutinous rice into the steamer. then cook until done.

Let's prepare the ingredients for the sauce mixture.

  • Prepare the brown sugar, cut it into smaller pieces first to facilitate the melting process.

  • In a large non-stick pan. Then add the sliced ​​brown sugar, white sugar, salt and liquid coconut milk with pandan leaves. cook until the brown sugar dissolves.

  • Then strain the brown sugar water to separate the dregs/impurities in the brown sugar.

  • ​​Then add the thick coconut milk. and cook again until the coconut milk shrinks or thickens until the coconut milk oil is visible.

  • After the coconut milk releases oil. Add the steamed glutinous rice. Stir and cook again until cooked.

The cake is ready to be placed in a non-stick container.

let stand at room temperature for 5 hours, with the top of the cake covered so that it does not dry out. and the cake is ready to be cut and enjoyed
