Hay momentos en la vida en la cual nos esmeramos por planificar y hacer los mejores arreglos a fin de disfrutar de una excelente aventura vacacional, y eso es tan necesario como importante a fin de poder sacarle el máximo provecho y disfrute a dichas experiencias. Pero también existen esos viajes o planes que, así sin más salen de la nada, y de manera fugaz ya te encuentras metiendo en un pequeño bolso lo poco y necesario para salir sin tiempo siquiera a recapacitar o reconsiderar otras opciones.
Esto es un pequeño análisis de lo que antecede a una inesperada invitación por parte de unos familiares y amigos, quienes planearon una visita a la ciudad de Coro, estado Falcón, a fin de conocer un pequeño pueblo llamado "Pueblo nuevo de la sierra", lugar donde también se encuentra un maravilloso paraíso escondido entre las montañas llamado "Las cataratas de Hueque". Siendo sinceros, este lugar fue una sorpresa para todos ya que es primera vez que visitamos este lugar, y aunque si sabíamos de la existencia de algunos ríos y quebradas, lo menos que pensamos fue en encontrarnos un lugar con varias cataratas.
There are moments in life in which we strive to plan and make the best arrangements in order to enjoy an excellent vacation adventure, and that is as necessary as it is important in order to get the most out of such experiences. But there are also those trips or plans that, just like that, come out of nowhere, and in a fleeting way you find yourself putting in a small bag the little and necessary to leave without even time to reconsider or reconsider other options.
This is a small analysis of what preceded an unexpected invitation from some family and friends, who planned a visit to the city of Coro, Falcon State, in order to visit a small town called "Pueblo Nuevo de la Sierra", where there is also a wonderful paradise hidden among the mountains called "Las Cataratas de Hueque" (Hueque Waterfalls). To be honest, this place was a surprise for all of us since it was the first time we visited this place, and although we knew about the existence of some rivers and streams, the least we thought was to find a place with several waterfalls.
Cuando me refiero a este lugar como un pequeño y maravilloso paraíso escondido es porque a diferencia de otros lugares, este carece de cierta propaganda o publicidad que le haga honor a su llamativa comodidad y belleza para disfrutar. La zona en general está llena de árboles y mucha vegetación, así como también de enormes rocas que adornan las aguas y los lugares cercanos a las cataratas. Incluso hay rocas que en algún tiempo fueron movidas por el mismo río cuando este abundaba en fuerza y cantidad. En este caso y desde mi opinión, no hay nada mejor que acampar a la orilla de un río sobre un enorme mueble que la misma naturaleza ha preparado para ti.
El clima en este lugar es bastante agradable. La zona en general es un poco cálida, pero ya al adentrarnos de a poco vamos percibiendo la frescura y el sonido de la caída del agua que no deja de fluir con una intensidad que varía según haya estado el día o, como dicen los habitantes cercanos, según cómo haya llovido en las cabeceras de la montaña. El agua generalmente es fría, y en días lluviosos la temperatura de la misma puede ser algo difícil de soportar o por lo menos para disfrutar sin sufrir tanto con el frío 🥶😅
When I refer to this place as a small and wonderful hidden paradise, it is because unlike other places, this one lacks certain propaganda or publicity that honors its striking comfort and beauty to enjoy. The area in general is full of trees and lots of vegetation, as well as huge boulders that adorn the waters and places near the falls. There are even rocks that were once moved by the river itself when it was abundant in strength and quantity. In this case and in my opinion, there is nothing better than camping on the banks of a river on a huge piece of furniture that nature itself has prepared for you.
The climate in this place is quite pleasant. The area in general is a little warm, but as we go deeper and deeper we perceive the freshness and the sound of the falling water that does not stop flowing with an intensity that varies depending on the day or, as the nearby inhabitants say, depending on how it has rained in the headwaters of the mountain. The water is generally cold, and on rainy days the temperature of the water can be somewhat difficult to bear or at least to enjoy without suffering so much with the cold 🥶😅.
Aunque hay varias cataratas, sobresale una por su tamaño y por la cantidad de agua que cae con fuerza e intensidad. Es el lugar más buscado por los visitantes, quienes tratan de llegar lo más temprano posible a fin de poder apartar un lugar especial para pasar todo el día. Otra de las cosas que se puede hacer es cocinar a leña o hacer fogatas, siempre con el debido cuidado y la supervisión de quienes se encargan del mantenimiento de este lugar. Debido a la presencia de muchos árboles y vegetación seca alrededor, lo más práctico es llevar la comida ya preparada o comprar en ciertos negocios cercanos que, entre el menú principal, destaca el cochino frito, la sopa en leña, el chivo asado y la oveja al vapor.
La ruta dentro del lugar en gran parte es por caminos boscosos y montañosos, algo que en lo particular me parece bien ya que no se altera la naturaleza misma del lugar. Al estar prácticamente al pié de la montaña, siempre se debe tener el debido cuidado con animales como las hormigas, los bachacos, los alacranes y las serpientes, por lo que una vez más el debido mantenimiento del lugar asume un papel muy importante. Por la gran cantidad de árboles, también podemos disfrutar de una gran variedad de mariposas y aves que abundan en tamaños y colores.
Prácticamente el nivel del río es a término medio, y no hay pozos con ciertas profundidad para el deleite de quienes sepan nadar. En algunas partes puedes bañarte sentado o casi que acostado, algo que para muchos también se convierte en una terapia de descanso y relajación. Hay lugares específicos en los que los rayos del sol no llegan a plenitud, mientras que en otros los mismos árboles sirven de refugio que nos brindan una extensa y agradable sombra. Con respecto a las rocas que se encuentran dentro de las aguas, en su mayoría no son filosas ni resbalosa, y algunas parecen muebles de descanso dentro del mismo río.
Although there are several waterfalls, one stands out for its size and the amount of water that falls with force and intensity. It is the most sought after place by visitors, who try to arrive as early as possible in order to be able to set aside a special place to spend the whole day. Another thing you can do is to cook with firewood or make bonfires, always with due care and supervision of those who are responsible for the maintenance of this place. Due to the presence of many trees and dry vegetation around, the most practical thing to do is to bring the food already prepared or to buy it in certain nearby businesses. Among the main menu, the fried pork, the soup in firewood, the roasted goat and the steamed sheep stand out.
The route within the place is mostly through wooded and mountainous roads, something that in particular I think is good because it does not alter the nature of the place itself. Being practically at the foot of the mountain, you should always be careful with animals such as ants, bachacos, scorpions and snakes, so once again the proper maintenance of the place assumes a very important role. Because of the large number of trees, we can also enjoy a great variety of butterflies and birds that abound in sizes and colors.
The level of the river is practically average, and there are no pools with certain depths for the delight of those who know how to swim. In some parts you can bathe sitting or almost lying down, something that for many also becomes a therapy of rest and relaxation. There are specific places where the sun's rays do not reach to the fullest, while in others the trees themselves serve as a shelter that provide a large and pleasant shade. Regarding the rocks found in the water, most of them are not sharp or slippery, and some of them look like rest furniture in the river itself.
La caída de las cataratas no son tan fuertes, a tal punto que puedes colocarte debajo de las mismas y dejar que las mismas cataratas sean las que te cubran, una experiencia que puede hacer honor a la expresión "un baño de agua fría" 🥲🥶😂 Cuando los días lluviosos se hacen más constantes, la fuerza de la catarata aumenta considerablemente y suele salirse de su caudal enmarcado, lo cual por obvias razones dificulta un poco para poder bañarse cerca de las cataratas. En una ocasión se dice que la fuerza del río fue tan grande, que trajo hasta abajo algunas piedras provenientes de la misma montaña 🙈😯
Las cataratas de Hueque cuentan con otros lugares naturales de belleza y atracción única y especial. Por razones de tiempo y clima el día fue bastante corto para poder disfrutar de todos ellos, pero la misma experiencia que hoy hemos disfrutado nos ha dejado las ganas de volver para una segunda oportunidad que ya luego marcará uno de los lugares favoritos a considerar en épocas de verano 😎 Con esta experiencia, la emoción y el disfrute rebosan aún más de lo que la misma expectativa pudo haber generado, aunque en mi caso no hubo tiempo para expectativas y apenas lo suficiente para empacar lo necesario para un viaje inesperado y una aventura muy especial ♥️
The fall of the waterfalls are not so strong, to such an extent that you can stand under them and let the falls themselves cover you, an experience that can honor the expression "a cold water bath" 🥲🥶😂 When the rainy days become more constant, the strength of the waterfall increases considerably and usually goes out of its framed flow, which for obvious reasons makes it a little difficult to bathe near the falls. On one occasion it is said that the force of the river was so great, that it brought down some stones coming from the same mountain 🙈😯
The Hueque waterfalls have other natural places of beauty and unique and special attraction. For reasons of time and weather the day was quite short to enjoy all of them, but the same experience that we enjoyed today has left us wanting to return for a second opportunity that will mark one of the favorite places to consider in summer 😎 With this experience, the excitement and enjoyment overflow even more than the same expectation could have generated, although in my case there was no time for expectations and just enough to pack the necessary for an unexpected trip and a very special adventure ♥️
