Silver First Quest (6).jpg

Hello everyone, This is @cantfoldaces participating in the Weekly Battle Mage Secrets Challenge, in the best #play2earn game out there!! #splinterlands!!

Within the Splinterlands universe, there has never been a Sure Fire, unbeatable, 100% win composition thanks to the versatility of the game and different Rulesets in each Battle. This is why having a strategy is a must in each battle!

Nevertheless, there are some Nfts or Monsters that offers a Higher Edge compared to other cards and would naturally counter many strategies.

One of them is the most Dominating, most hated by non-owners, a Mighty Summoner that buffs all allied monsters with the Blast Ability: Yodin ducking Zaku

Not only it gives the blast ability, but only buffs the Ranged Damage and gives some tankiness to those squichy units resulting in many dominating Victories

However, as I mentionned before, there is NO 100% win strategy and let's jump right into one of my battles to showcast how to beat that arrogant Fox!

So here we have a battle with mid to low Mana where only Fire & Death were available followed by the Tis but Scratches Ruleset.

Looking at my opponent history, I was 100% sure that he would put a Yodin Team into action!

With this heavy burden of defeating that Fox and a low Mana available, I decided to go as follow:

CardAbilitiesDescription
Image from thread-1 Health ConscriptThere was a couple of reasons: First to decrease my opponents health (nullify some of Yodin's buff) and second to use a gladius Card
Image from threadScavenher FlyingThis is my bet on this battle, hope for my opponent to miss as much shots as possible thanks to its high Speed + flying Evasion Rate VS 1 Speed Monster: 25% + 20% = 45%
Image from threadBloodlust SnipeMy damage Dealer! Since I'm expecting to face Ranged Monsters, it'll be more effective to use a Snipe Monster and eliminate them ASAP! Indeed, procs the bloodlust ability for even higher Damage
Image from threadSneakAgain Targeting the Weak backline and trying to eliminate as much as possible in a single round before firing their shots!

Opponent lineup

That was a really solid Team on the Zaku Team and capitalizing on a heavy Ranged Team.
My only advantage consists of Speed so let's see how this battle infolds

Round 1

ezgif.com-video-to-gif (1).gif

  • An Amazing oneshot from my Silent Sha-Vi reducing my opponent's Damage
  • And even more amazing Riftwing EVADING ALL HITS!! MISS MISS MISS!

Round 2

The Speed Meta is Real :

  • Silent Sha-vi takes over the Grandier
  • Damon takes down Halvin Alcemist and proc Bloodlust
  • Goblin fireball managed to land a hit of Riftwing after countless misses!

Round 3

  • Another bloodlust for Damon after taking down Goblin Fireball
  • A clean hit from Silent Sha-Vi on the Fiend
  • Only the Monkey is left only to be Taken down by the Gladiator Whistling Damon

Post Battle Commentary

Speed is Key and I wouldn't have won the Battle if My monsters weren't first to Act. I daresay that the real MVP is RIFTWING for it's outstanding performance in Evading 90% of incoming attacks and protecting the backline from Blast backlash!

Ohh yeah should include to link to this battle:
