A slow start day. Drove up to Berry for the weekly markets. They were a bit quieter than the Kiama markets the day before. Got the vege and fruit shopping done for the weekend. Walked a few shops in Berry - was quiet - bought wine.
Enough time to ride up to Seven Mile Beach NP to check for orchids - nice cluster of greenhoods on the edge of the cleared section of the fire trail access. More than last year
Budding acianthus orchid
Mosquitos were diabolical - cannot remember them that bad - the photo shows how easy it was to swat 4 at a time - swatting legs and arms and bald patch
Mission was to find chiloglottis orchids - leaves there were
Budding acianthus orchid - the leaf is already leaving the girubd which tells me the plant has self pollinated before flowering
Budding chiloglottis orchid
Did find flowers open. Mosquitos were so bad it was hard to get a good photo. Got one in focus - chiloglottis diphylla - calli gi all the way down the labellum
Mini mushrooms. Cut the walk short as mosquitos were so bad. Not enough waving arms to fend them off
Somehow the Garmin only recorded half the ride # this was the leg out - about same kms back
Dinner: Stir fried rice
Late night waiting for market open - got a few trades needing adjusting ahead of options expiry - adjusted one
