A new set of cards brings with it so many exciting things to look forward to. I am beyond stoked for the new Conclave Arcana set for a few reasons.

🌟New Cards/Artwork🌟

I love getting a influx of new cards because you get to collect more pretty artwork and characters. I am a collector at heart. I have collected Pokémon cards since I was a kid on the playground back in 1999. So card games and TCG's hold a special place in my heart. I always love new sets because you get artwork and characters that just add to the lore or overall gaming experience.

I am not just talking about for the meta of the game but just sometimes you get a new favorite card because of how the artwork just speaks to you. I think a lot of times in Trading Card Games the artwork and artists go under acknowledged!

Can we just take a moment and appreciate these 2 beauties and their animation?

🎴New Pack Options🃏

With this new set we are getting new packs. And not just because it's a new set. No I mean instead of having 1 type of pack to open and apply various boosters to, we are getting 4 packs to pick from when we go to buy them.

1) Starter Pack

The Starter Pack will cost 1,000 DEC (or $1) and it will contain 5 cards. 1 of the 5 cards is a guaranteed Rare card. The other 4 slots each have a 20% chance to be Rare as well. No potions can be used as there are no Gold Foil or Legendary possible from these packs.

2) Standard Pack

The Standard Pack is what we are familiar with. 4,000 DEC or $4 per pack. 5 cards in each pack with 1 guaranteeed to be Rare or better. Legendary and Alchemy potions can be used to double chances of getting Gold or Legendary cards.

3) Alchemy Pack

12,000 DEC or $12 for a Alchemy pack which has the same odds as a Standard pack except 1 Guaranteed Gold Foil Card.

4) Legendary Pack

24,000 DEC or $24 for a Legendary Pack which is again the same as a Standard Pack but 1 guaranteed Legendary card.

All in all there are 82 core cards in the Conclave Arcana set.

24 Common cards
29 Rare cards
14 Epic cards
15 Legendary cards

This just gives me more cards to try to collect as I want them all!

🐉Summoners are "Archons" now!🐉

This is just to fix the meta I think. It was weird that we would 'summon' these leaders and then units into battle but some of them were called "Summoners". So I get it. It's a good thing none of the NFT cards themselves had the word 'summoner' on it though! ;)

I guess honestly I am not THAT excited about this but I figured I needed to call it out because of my next topic WHICH I am excited about!

🐓Summoners Archons have Races now!🐓

Yeah no longer are we going to be tied down to just using certain Elemental Units that correspond to the element of the ~~Summoner~~ Archons, ugh this is going to take me a while!

Now there is a ability called "Bloodline Dominion" which will allow you take not only take Unit cards of the same elemental type into battle but you will also be able to take any Unit card of the same race as your Archon into battle.

This is going to instantly through the gameplay meta into whack. Every strategy that you think worked may no longer work because your opponent will hit you with a curve ball. It is going to reset the playing field for everyone and I need that. I came back into Splinterlands towards the end of Rebellion so I was trying to play catch up to everyone else who already figured out the abilities and rulesets.

But this massive change is going to help me a ton! (or at least that is what I am telling myself)

🔥PreSale is going to be Bonkers!🔥

I think I am most excited about the presale for a few reasons.

Getting in early

I love to get into a project or update early and to be able to hit the ground running. So for me I have been trying to save my DEC so that I can buy some decent amount of packs. It's been hard though to not spend my DEC if I am being honest haha.

Promo Cards

The new promo cards are BANGERS for sure!

Leaderboard

I can promise you that I will NOT be getting onto the Leaderboard. There are way too many Whales around here that can fight for that. But what I am excited about is the aftermath from those whales... I am sure there are people who are going to be buying packs during the pre-sale to chase the Leaderboard positions. But will have to them sell off those packs at a slightly lower price to recoup some costs so that they can then go buy more packs.

I will be there.. lying in wait. Just waiting for someone to start listing packs under market price. And I am going to scoop them up!
