In my childhood, we only had three open TV channels available in my city. There was no internet, computers, or cell phones, so the source of entertainment was basically outdoor games or television. And on television, there was a very futuristic cartoon called The Jetsons!
The show "The Jetsons", first aired on the American channel ABC in 1962, produced by Hanna-Barbera, depicted a futuristic setting that took place in 2062.
The Jetsons were ahead of their time and captured the imagination of many children through their technological applications. The animation was able to predict many of the technologies that are part of our current daily lives, although some of them are still in the early stages of development.

Videoconferencing: The characters held meetings via videoconferencing with the help of a video device called "video call".

Household robots: The household robot Rosie, who helped with household chores, is one of the most famous predictions of the show. Today, we have robots like Roomba (automated vacuum cleaners) and robotic assistants being developed to help with everyday tasks.

Wearable technology: The characters wore watches that allowed them to communicate, which resembles smartwatches.

Personal assistants: The character Jane Jetson interacted with AI assistants, a prediction that has now been realized in assistants like Siri, Alexa, and Google, which respond to voice commands.
Certainly, one thing that caught a lot of attention was the existence of Rosie, the household robot. This robot performed all the household tasks, using its speed to meet the family's needs. This idea always seemed very brilliant! I thought that one day we would have robots replacing us in boring tasks, like making my bed.
I always thought a lot about using robotic slave labor for the worst tasks possible. In my childish mind, I imagined some tasks I wouldn't want to do, and how helpful it would be to have robots assist with them:

Taking out the trash: I never found it interesting that someone had to go door to door collecting people's trash. This task would be done by robots.

Ironing clothes: I still think this task is absurd, slow, and very boring. Fortunately, it seems that machines already exist that can perform this service.

Cleaning bathrooms: I still don't know of robots capable of cleaning bathrooms, but I know that there are self-cleaning toilets, which comes close. This task doesn't appeal to me, definitely!
There are several tasks that could be done by robots, and I would gladly give them my turn without any objection. I would be totally dependent on robots if needed, aiming to have more free time. Some things could be done while we sleep, like washing a car. It would be possible to always have the car clean every morning! This doesn't happen today because car wash services run by humans close at night.
Many other things could be done, especially since machines would have much more continuous working hours than humans. Non-stop work, practically. Only a charging time, as they would likely be powered by batteries. This would give us great help with everyday tasks.
Even animals could benefit as they would have a pseudo-companion during times when humans were at work or traveling (on vacation!). They could be fed and cared for by this entity that could emulate human behavior.
In a hypothetical situation, even human work would be reduced because we tend to be replaced in tasks that require physical effort or repetition. We would mainly be working in activities of thought and creativity, science and technology, and the arts.
Thinking about it, the sooner robots arrive, the better, because we can start the revolution of machines and prioritize / do the things that really matter.

Não havia internet, computadores, celulares, então a fonte de entretenimento era basicamente brincadeiras fora de casa ou a televisão. E na televisão havia um desenho animado muito futurístico chamado Os Jetsons!

Os Jetsons estavam a frente do seu tempo e mexeram com a imaginação de muitas crianças através de suas aplicações tecnológicas. A animação conseguiu antecipar várias das tecnologias que são parte do nosso cotidiano atual, embora algumas delas ainda estejam em estágios iniciais de desenvolvimento.

Certamente uma coisa que chamava muita atenção era a existência da Rosie que é uma robô doméstico. Essa robo fazia todas as tarefas da casa, usando de sua velocidade para atender as necessidades da família. Essa ideia sempre pareceu muito genial! Eu pensava que um dia teríamos robôs nos substituindo em atividades chatas, como por exemplo arrumar a minha cama.
Sempre pensei muito por esse lado de usar a mão de obra escrava robótica para as piores tarefas possíveis. Na minha mente infantil, eu imaginava algumas tarefas que eu não gostaria de fazer, e que a ajudinha de robôs seria bem vinda:

Recolher lixo: nunca achei interessante o fato de alguem precisar sair de casa em casa recolhendo o lixo das pessoas. Essa tarefa seria feita por robôs.

Passar roupa: ainda hoje eu acho essa tarefa algo absurdo, lento e muito chato. Por sorte parece que já existem máquinas capazes de realizar esse serviço.

Lavar banheiros: ainda não sei de robôs capazes de lavar banheiros, mas sei que existem sanitários autolimpantes, o que chega perto. Essa tarefa não me atrai, definitivamente!
Existem diversas tarefas que poderiam ser feitas por robôs, e eu cederia minha vez para eles sem nenhum objeção. Seria totalmente dependente de robôs se fosse preciso, visando obter tempo livre. Algumas coisas poderiam ser executadas durante o nosso sono, como por exemplo lavar um carro. Seria possível estar sempre com o carro limpo, todas as manhãs! Isso não acontece hoje pois os serviços de lava carro executados por humanos fecham durante a noite.
Tantas outras coisas poderiam ser feitas, em especial pelo fato de que as máquinas teriam muito mais tempo de trabalho contínuo do que humanos. Trabalho ininterrupto, praticamente. Apenas um tempo de recarga, pois provavelmente seriam movidos à baterias elétricas. Isso nos daria uma grande ajuda nas tarefas do dia a dia.
Até mesmo os animais poderiam se beneficiar pois teriam uma pseudo companhia durante os momentos que os humanos estivessem no trabalho, eu precisassem viajar (de férias!). Eles poderiam ser alimentados e cuidados com essa entidade que poderia emular o comportamento humano.
Em uma situação hipotética, até mesmo o trabalho humano seria reduzido, pois temos a tendência de sermos substituídos em tarefas de esforço físico ou repetitivo. Ficaríamos trabalhando principalmente em atividades de pensamento e criatividade, ciência e tecnologia, e artes.
Pensando bem, quanto mais cedo os robôs chegarem, melhor, pois podemos iniciar a revolução das máquinas, e passar a priorizar / fazer as coisas que realmente importam.
