Finally! I’ve added another simple video to my YouTube channel. It features my walk around the Lorong Halus Bridge area, which I did last weekend. I captured a bunch of clips while experimenting with the kind of video style I might want to stick with for my channel.
To be honest, I’m not very savvy when it comes to video editing, but I genuinely enjoy going for walks. I find peace in quiet strolls while taking in the beautiful sights along the way. Of course, people have different preferences when it comes to video presentations. For someone like me, I often find overly edited videos hard to connect with. Most of the time, I just enjoy watching content that feels real—like I’m standing there in that very moment, at that exact location, with nothing else added.
The video I posted on YouTube was shot in about 10 minutes, and editing it took roughly the same amount of time. I deliberately kept things simple—something I know I can consistently manage. I didn’t want to start off with a big, ambitious production only to end up burned out and unable to keep up.
I’m sure there are others like me who value simplicity and authenticity in the videos they watch on YouTube.
So my goal with this video is to showcase the surroundings as they truly are—without exaggeration, fancy cuts, inserts, or effects. I want viewers to feel immersed in the environment. Is the place walkable? What’s the vibe like? What are people doing there? That’s the kind of experience I hope to convey.
I think I picked the perfect day and time to visit. The area was lively—people hanging out, jogging, cycling, and playing. It was wonderful to witness all the activity, and I’m really glad I brought along my DJI Pocket 2. While it’s not the most advanced gear, it’s definitely good enough to capture the essence of the place.
I hope you enjoy watching the video, and feel free to share your thoughts. Thanks for tuning in!
