Hey dear actifitters and readers,

We had a nice travel day. We crossed the Alps at Gotthard Pass and reached the ferry in time at Genova.

We got up early and did the last preparations for our two week trip to Sardegna.

On our way towards the Mediterranean Sea we had to cross the Alps and decided for mountain view instead of the long Gotthard tunnel.

We had prepared some pasta in a box and had it for lunch at 2106m above sea level.

Unfortunately there was a lot of traffic jam on the roads so we had to cancel our planned walk through the harbour. At least we had time to buy some Ichnusa for the ferry.

After the check-in and boarding we found a quiet place in the rest room for our sleeping bags on the ferry.

It was the same ferry we were on in the last year. But it's difficult to get the orientation. But we manged to find the upper deck. I took some photos and we had the beer.

After one hour watching people, taking pictures and having out beer the ferry was ready to depart.

Leaving Genova on ferry is great it feels like a harbour cruise. We passed many ferries, boots and some big yachts of some rich people. It takes about 20min until the captain steers the ferry into the darkness of the night.
I was to tired to wait until we couldn't see any light from coast and went to bed early. Last year on the same trip, we were sitting for ages on deck until totally darkness.

The last picture is a teaser. We arrived safely at Sardegna in the early morning at sunrise. More about our first day on the Island will follow in my next actifit report.
