One thing I love about the Canadian Rockies are the colourful lakes. Out here, a lot of the lakes are glacially fed, which gives them a colourful turquoise appearance, but this lake here called Silver Spring is actually “spring-fed”, which means the water comes from underground springs (mostly). The water is a cool mixture of turquoise and green. Did you know that British Columbia has over 20,000 lakes? But out of those only (only!) 7,100 are named.
