Hello My Friends
I have been here on Asean Hive Community for some weeks, and I think it is time I participate more in the community posts. Recently I see this Beautiful Bokeh Challenge and I want to take part in this challenge
Photography is not my forte but I have posted some of my photography activities last year in FreeCompliments community. I learn some of the basic photography skills from fellow hivians, who are @ekavieka and @poplar-22.
I am using this Nikon Coolpix L830, an old prosumer camera. I bought this one around 11 years ago. Some of the rubber part is already worn out, but overall it is still functioning well. I treat this activity as a recreational, so I do not seek perfection... Good or Decent result is more than enough for me.
I will not use photo processing to make the bokeh effect. Everything will be manual, however I will use CANVA for image processing. It is not for increasing quality or setting the bokeh, but more on setting the image size and resolution. I do not wish to make a post with 50mb images size, it's annoying for some readers.
Ok Now Let's Pick Our Object!
Yellow Oncidium
Oncidium is basically an Orchid, but they are very small and have some dots on the crowns. Some call it as Lady Dancing Orchids, some call it as butterfly orchids but even some call it Phalaenopsis, it is actually not that one. Oncidium and Phalaenopsis are not the same!
However this post is not about biological class about Orchids. We just want to take some shots for this small flower. Why do I pick this flower? Because I have some, grown next to my koi fish pond.
The setting is ideal, because after the flower, the next objects are far behind it. So naturally a bokeh effect will be created here, due to the massive different for the lens focus to capture the object.
THE RESULT ~ BEAUTIFUL BOKEH
I have taken several shots, and after short them all, I pick one for a landscape setting and another one for the portrait setting. I have posted the landscape setting on the very first of this post...
And this is the second one, the portrait setting. Those two have a bokeh effect which is caused naturally from the lens focus, they are not some software processing or AI generated bokeh effect.
However I will be fair here, it is not perfect and for professional, they will see this as a bad picture LoL. Nikon coolpix L830 is not that good in taking macro photo, that causes why the flowers fail to be displayed in detail. If you have some input or feedback for my skills, do let me know.
But still.. In general, I believe those are beautiful Yellow Oncidium in Beautiful Bokeh style.
Anyway thanks for visiting my post here. Have a Good Day folks
Thank you for coming and reading my post. I live in Jakarta, Ex-Capital City of Indonesia. I used to live by making money online, that's why I like being here, on HIVE, and in #pimp - (Paper In My Pocket) community.
