Este fin de semana se me antojaba una buena película, pero que pudiera disfrutar con mi hijo de 10 años. Que aquí entre nos, la verdad es que no se sabe, quién es más muchacho. Porque nos encantan los dibujos animados, o como le decimos acá: "los muñes". Este género ha evolucionado de tal manera, que nos sigue sorprendiendo cada día mucho más. Con todos estos mundos fantásticos y su manera divertida de contar historias. Ciertamente, no tiene límites, todo lo que se puede crear haciendo uso de las nuevas tecnologías.

Sucedió, que en la plataforma X, me topé con el post de un usuario, quien recomendaba la película "Robot Salvaje" (The Wild Robot). Me dio curiosidad aquella imagen, que acompañaba su escrito, por lo que le pregunté a mi hermano, otro que le encanta el cine de animación, si de casualidad la había visto. Obviamente, me dijo que sí, sus palabras fueron: "prepárate para llorar". Me dije: ¿cómo así? Le puse manos a la obra y encontré la película para disfrutarla. Aquí va mi opinión de esta obra de arte del cine animado.

Se materializó nada más y nada menos que, en donde los sueños cobran vida, la casa productora DreamWorks Animation. Me pregunto en dónde estaba, que no me había encontrado con esta joyita, que se nos entregó el 27 de septiembre del año 2024. "Robot Salvaje", está basada en la novela ilustrada de Peter Brown. Aquí nos encontramos ante una película de animación, capaz de combinar una narrativa emotiva, con todo el estilo visual y deslumbrante de DreamWorks Animation.

En ella se nos presenta, de una manera tierna, haciendo uso de la fábula, ese emotivo mensaje universal que transmite la maternidad, la tolerancia, así como la conexión entre lo natural y lo artificial. Desde su estreno, la película ha ido de cierta manera, atrapando la atención de grandes y chicos. Motivo por el cual no me sorprenden sus merecidas nominaciones a premios. En la película, se nos muestra la historia de Roz, una robot de servicio, que accidentalmente, náufraga en una Isla solamente habitada por animales. Esclusivamente programada para satisfacer tareas humanas, Roz se las tiene que ingeniar para encajar en este entorno salvaje.

Since its release, the film has been, in a certain way, catching the attention of young and old. That is why I am not surprised by its well-deserved award nominations. In the film, we are shown the story of Roz, a service robot, who accidentally shipwrecked on an island inhabited only by animals. Exclusively programmed to perform human tasks, Roz has to figure out how to fit into this wild environment.
Logra comunicarse con la fauna, que en un principio fue bastante hostil, pero fomenta amistades poco comunes. En este proceso, accidentalmente termina convirtiéndose en la madre adoptiva de Brightbill, un pequeño ganso huérfano, que llega como anillo al dedo para completar su existencia allí. Esta pequeña criatura le dio a Roz un propósito, una tarea bastante compleja, que incluso, la lleva a cuestionarse las leyes de su programación. Motivándola a desarrollar emociones humanas, que van mucho más allá de su existencia robótica.

Porque nos recuerda esa primera vez, en la que no sabíamos que hacer, sin embargo hicimos nuestro mejor esfuerzo. Es una de estas cintas a las que querrás regresar a cada rato, porque no solo es una buena película de animación, es una carta de amor a la humanidad.

Where the best human emotions are kept, in which you will easily feel reflected. If you are a parent, or you are thinking about it, you will fall in love with this movie. Because it reminds us of that first time, when we didn't know what to do, but we did our best. It is one of those films that you will want to return to every time, because it is not only a good animated film, it is a love letter to humanity.
