This is my entry for the #monomad challenge hosted and curated by @monochromes

I had posted this spider before, but still it is really interesting to share new shots that I get of this spider. As it is very easy to find, and every setting where I see this spider is always different so that I could get a different result.

Just like this time when I saw this spider, and apparently this one is a little bit different from the usual one that I saw and photographeded. Here you can see that this one has some kind of gloves on its pedipalps, which make it look like it is a small 8 legged boxer ready to go to the ring.

this is the Stripped lyx spider. Striped lynx spiders or Oxyopes salticus are relatively small (4 to 7 mm) and can be distinguished from other lynx spiders by two thin black lines extending from the small middle pair of eyes to the tips of the chelicerae and thin black lines on the undersides of their legs

Now you can see the marking that differentiates this lynx spider from the different species within the same genus. The black lines along the body make the striking difference between this spider to the other.

And the conspicuous dark pedipalps (appendages below the face) which look like the boxer gloves that differentiate the male and the female one.

Just like most of the spiders, it has a very beneficial role in agriculture as it will hunt and prey on some of the pests in the plants. However the big company will just use a chemical way to get rid of the pest, which unfortunately will also kill these spiders. And with that reason I really love to see them in my garden, because I will know that they will take care of my plant, as well as giving me a chance to photograph it.
