Esta semana estuvimos celebrando los cumpleaños de febrero y marzo, entre los cumpleañeros estaban: Ana Gabriela, Milan mi sobrino, Adrianna y Marie.
En la academia nos encanta hacer estas reuniones y compartir con los niños un momento agradable y diferente.
En cada ocasión escogemos una dinámica diferente y en esta fue de Vaqueros, los niños debían asistir vestidos alusivamente.
Yo pedí prestado un sombrero porque no tengo y me quedó bastante bien.

This week we were celebrating the birthdays of February and March, among the birthday boys were: Ana Gabriela, Milan my nephew, Adrianna and Marie.
At the academy we love to make these meetings and share with the children a nice and different moment.
On each occasion we choose a different dynamic and this time it was Cowboys, the children had to dress up in allusive costumes.
I borrowed a hat because I don't have one and it looked pretty good.
Al llegar a la academia nos encontramos con la mala noticia de que no había electricidad, pero así tendríamos que realizar el compartir pues ya los niños se habían planificado.
Al llegar, mi sobrino Milan me ayudó a acomodar el salón y a decorar y minutos después llegó Zoe con la torta y varios niños se unieron.
Decidimos tomarles algunas fotos antes de que el calor hiciera de las suyas.
When we arrived at the academy we were met with the bad news that there was no electricity, but we would have to share as the children had already planned to do so.
Upon arrival, my nephew Milan helped me set up the room and decorate and minutes later Zoe arrived with the cake and several children joined in.
We decided to take some pictures of them before the heat set in.

Zoe decidió hacer unas dinámicas con los niños y así pasar un rato divertido. Estos juegos y bailes no faltan en nuestras fiestas y es lo que hace que los niños se diviertan tanto.
Comenzamos jugando ''La papa caliente'' un típico juego en Venezuela que consiste en pasar la pelota al compañero hasta que se detenga la música, a quien le quede la pelota pierde. Pero Zoe hizo unas modificaciones y los niños debían pasar la pelota por debajo de las piernas, después de dar una vuelta y de espaldas.
Los niños estaban pasándola genial, lamentablemente mi sobrino Milan perdió pero aún sentado en la silla hidratándose estaba riendo y gozando el compartir.
Zoe decided to do some dynamics with the kids and have a fun time. These games and dances are always present at our parties and that's what makes the kids have so much fun.
We started playing ‘'La papa caliente’' a typical Venezuelan game that consists of passing the ball to the partner until the music stops, whoever has the ball left loses. But Zoe made some modifications and the children had to pass the ball under their legs, after a turn and with their backs turned.
The kids were having a great time, unfortunately my nephew Milan lost but still sitting in the chair hydrating himself he was laughing and enjoying the sharing.

Después jugamos a atrapar el vaso, este juego les encanta a los niños desde que lo jugamos la primera vez porque es retador la velocidad con la que deben atrapar el vaso.
Este juego es muy divertido, Jorge que ama jugarlo nunca entiende porque no gana jaja a nosotros nos causa mucha risa porque el da lo mejor de si pero siempre alguien termina siendo mas ágil.
Después de varios juegos y de repartir todo el refrigerio que teníamos decidimos cantar cumpleaños porque ya estaban comenzando a recoger a los niños.
Los cumpleaños tomaron el centro de la mesa y sus compañeritos se posicionaron alrededor de ellos.
Then we played catch the glass, this game the kids love since we played it the first time because it is challenging the speed with which they have to catch the glass.
This game is a lot of fun, Jorge who loves to play it never understands why he doesn't win haha it makes us laugh a lot because he gives his best but someone always ends up being more agile.
After several games and after distributing all the snacks we had we decided to sing birthdays because they were already starting to pick up the children.
The birthdays took the center of the table and their classmates positioned themselves around them.
Los niños soplaron su propia velita luego de pedir su deseo, estaban muy emocionados, incluso se tomaron su tiempo para pedir su deseo.
Después de apagar las velas sucedió algo sorpresivo, Ana Gabriela sin previo anuncio mordió la torta (bueno, solo el merengue) y su boca quedo toma llena de merengue jaja esto nos causo mucha risa porque no lo esperábamos.
Después de la fiesta recibí varios mensajes de mamás diciéndome que los niños la habían pasado genial, eso me reconforta y me alegra bastante porque mi objetivo principal es lograr que este sea un lugar seguro para los niños y creo que lo estamos logrando.

The children blew out their own candle after making their wish, they were very excited, they even took their time to make their wish.
After blowing out the candles something surprising happened, Ana Gabriela without prior announcement bit the cake (well, just the meringue) and her mouth was full of meringue haha this caused us a lot of laughter because we did not expect it.
After the party I received several messages from moms telling me that the kids had a great time, that comforts me and makes me very happy because my main goal is to make this a safe place for the kids and I think we are achieving it.
