Pippa Lee tuvo dificultades desde el momento que nació, además de haber nacido en una familia de pastor religioso y una madre que escondía algún tipo de trastorno mental tomando pastillas para estimular su estado de ánimo, algo mas fuerte que un antidepresivo, así entendí. Cuando nació Pippa su madre la rechazó porque tenía un defecto físico que al sanar con el tiempo, su madre se obsesionó con ella sobreprotegiéndola. La relación madre/hija era admirable, creo que hasta envidiable, pero algo no estaba bien Pippa lo descubrió al llegar a la adolescencia y su hermano lo descubrió, Pippa no pudo perdonar la adicción de la madre a los estimulantes y al padecimiento mental de la madre, huyó de casa, desde ese momento, su vida fue un desastre.

No es una película tanto como para aburrirse, pero puede ser algo tediosa en algunos períodos, sin embargo, la historia puede atraparte y los actores puedes hacer que te quedes para verlos actuando. Las moralejas que nos enseña la película son muy buenas, los valores familiares, la resiliencia, el amor real, Pensé que por la diferencia de edad muy notable entre Pippa y Herb tal vez ella lo quería por interés pero no fue así, había amor real de parte y parte, sin embargo la relación al final tuvo debilidades.

Por supuesto que hay sorpresas dentro de la trama de la película que no revelaré porque son las más bonitas e impactantes y en base a estas puedo recomendarla para que veas una bonita película de amor sin empalagarte.
