¡Hola amigos! Hoy les vengo a compartir la reseña acerca de esta serie basada en una novela gráfica que es una producción de mi país y que tenía muchas ganas de ver. No tuve el placer de leer la historieta, pero espero que eso cambie pronto. Por el momento, acá les traigo mi opinión de El eternauta.
Hello friends! Today I come to share with you the review about this series based on a graphic novel that is a production of my country and that I really wanted to see. I didn't have the pleasure of reading the comic, but I hope that will change soon. For the time being, here is my opinion of The Eternaut.
Trama - Plot
Esta serie sigue a Juan Salvo, un ex combatiente de Malvinas, que se reúne con sus amigos una noche de viernes cualquiera para jugar al truco. Todo cambia cuando se produce un corte de luz y al asomarse por la ventana ven que está nevando en pleno verano. Este hecho los desconcierta y todo empeora cuando empiezan a producirse accidentes de tráfico a su alrededor. Por lo que uno de los amigos decide salir para ir con su familia y termina muriendo al tener contacto con esta nieve mortal que aniquiló a más de la mitad de la población. Ahora se encuentran aislados e incomunicados, sin saber qué es lo que está pasando con sus seres queridos y el mundo en general. Este será solo el principio de algo mucho más peligroso.
This series follows Juan Salvo, a former Malvinas combatant, who gets together with his friends one ordinary Friday night to play truco. Everything changes when there is a power cut and when they look out of the window they see that it is snowing in the middle of summer. This fact disconcerts them and everything gets worse when traffic accidents start to happen around them. So one of the friends decides to leave to go with his family and ends up dying when he comes into contact with this deadly snow that annihilated more than half of the population. Now they find themselves isolated and incommunicado, not knowing what is happening to their loved ones and the world in general. This is only the beginning of something much more dangerous.
Reseña - Review
Creo que esta es la serie del momento y me da mucho orgullo que sea una producción de mi país. Claro que es una adaptación más moderna y difiere un poco de la obra original, pero pienso que lo indispensable está y es una serie apocalíptica que no tiene nada que envidiar a las demás. Uno está acostumbrado a las de Estados Unidos, por lo que fue bastante refrescante saber que se pueden hacer este tipo de producciones en Latinoamérica.
I think this is the series of the moment and I am very proud that it is a production of my country. Of course it is a more modern adaptation and differs a little from the original work, but I think that the essential is there and it is an apocalyptic series that has nothing to envy to the others. One is used to those from the United States, so it was quite refreshing to know that this kind of productions can be made in Latin America.
Ahora bien, la trama es sobre seres de otro mundo que invaden nuestro planeta, no tenemos mucha información al respecto hasta la mitad de la serie, ya que al principio la protagonista es la nieve mortal. Luego se dan cuenta que hay algo más que la nieve, estos escarabajos come gente que pueden ser mucho más peligrosos al estar mejor organizados y atacar en manada.
Now, the plot is about beings from another world that invade our planet, we don't have much information about it until the middle of the series, since at the beginning the main character is the deadly snow. Then they realize that there is more than just the snow, these people-eating beetles that can be much more dangerous as they are better organized and attack in packs.
Es una serie corta, consta de 6 capítulos. Así que los primeros 3 sirvieron para entrar en tema con este mundo y para ver a los personajes intentar sobrevivir a la nieve y sus consecuencias, además de reunirse con los seres queridos y establecer lazos con gente que serán de ayuda para su supervivencia. Los otros 3 capítulos fueron potentes, cargados de acción y revelaciones, me gustaron mucho la verdad. Acá se demostró el potencial de la serie y el trabajo que realizaron al producirla.
It is a short series, consisting of 6 chapters. So the first 3 chapters were useful to get in theme with this world and to see the characters trying to survive the snow and its consequences, as well as reuniting with loved ones and establishing bonds with people that will be of help for their survival. The other 3 chapters were powerful, loaded with action and revelations, I really liked them. Here they showed the potential of the series and the work they did in producing it.
Es una producción que da para analizarla a fondo porque, aunque no parezca, contiene cierta critica social y política. Está bastante bien disfrazada, me sorprendió. Creo que tendría que verla de nuevo para lograr captar todo, y ni aun así, porque es sutil. También me dio mucha gracia la cantidad de publicidad encubierta que le metieron, esas empresas sí que hicieron una maravillosa jugada jajaja.
It is a production that needs to be analyzed in depth because, although it may not seem like it, it contains some social and political criticism. It is quite well disguised, I was surprised. I think I'd have to watch it again to catch it all, and even then, because it's subtle. I was also very amused by the amount of covert advertising they put in it, those companies really made a wonderful move hahaha.
Otra cosa que me gustó mucho es ver las locaciones de acá. Soy fan de las producciones de este estilo y no sabía que necesitaba una que transcurra en mi país hasta que sucedió. Se siente bien reconocer lugares o solo escucharlos nombrar, al igual que su banda sonora con artistas locales. También quiero destacar a los actores, algunos estuvieron muy bien y de otros esperaba más, pero las risas y los momentos tensos no faltaron.
Another thing I really liked was seeing the locations here. I'm a fan of productions of this style and I didn't know I needed one set in my country until it happened. It feels good to recognize places or just hear them mentioned, as well as the soundtrack with local artists. I also want to highlight the actors, some were very good and others I expected more, but the laughs and tense moments were not lacking.
El final se me hizo un poco confuso, no les voy a mentir, pero me pareció muy bueno e invita a una segunda parte. Así que no puedo más que esperar por una próxima temporada que continúe con esta historia. Y espero conseguir la historieta pronto para leerla, con el boom de la serie su precio aumentó un montón. Pero bueno, ya la conseguiré.
The ending was a bit confusing, I'm not going to lie, but I thought it was very good and invites for a second part. So I can only hope for a next season that continues this story. And I hope to get the comic soon to read it, with the boom of the series its price increased a lot. But well, I'll get it.
