Hace algunos días les compartí todo lo que fue mi salida a Ciudad Ojeda con mi hijo. Nos fuimos a comprar la franela del uniforme del colegio y también los cuadernos.
Ese fue un viaje un tanto agotador porque yo solo había dormido unas 4 horas, ya que debía ir en horas de la mañana porque tenía un compromiso a la 1 pm. Yo estaba súper agotada pero al llegar a casa luego de esa agitada mañana debía comer y salir nuevamente.
Resulta que mi compañera de la academia me pidió que le acompañará durante la clase de ballet para que tomara algunas fotos y bueno, a mí me pareció genial la idea porque es una manera de ir explorando todo lo que representa trabajar con niños.
Me cambié de ropa y me fui. No es algo que represente mucho esfuerzo de llegar pues queda a una calle de distancia.
A few days ago I shared with you all about my trip to Ciudad Ojeda with my son. We went to buy the flannel for the school uniform and also the notebooks.
It was an exhausting trip because I had only slept for about 4 hours, as I had to go in the morning because I had an appointment at 1 pm. I was super exhausted but when I got home after that hectic morning I had to eat and go out again.
It turns out that my colleague from the academy asked me to accompany her during the ballet class to take some photos and well, I thought it was a great idea because it is a way to explore everything that working with children represents.
I changed my clothes and left. It's not too much of an effort to get there as it's only a street away.
Al llegar ya habían algunas niñas, ellas me miraban curiosas porque no tenían idea de que hacía allí. Fue divertido ver cómo llegaban, se saludaban con un abrazo. Esto me recordó cuando yo estaba en el colegio y me emocionaba al ver a mis compañeros.
When I arrived there were already some girls, they looked at me curious because they had no idea what I was doing there. It was fun to see them arrive, greeting each other with a hug. It reminded me of when I was at school and I was excited to see my classmates.
Luego que llegaron casi todas, comenzaron los ejercicios de estiramiento. Mi compañera Elieska se colocó al frente y comenzó a dirigir cada uno de los ejercicios colocando una música de fondo.
Las niñas se veían súper contentas al hacerlo, habían niñas desde los 4 años hasta otras más grandecitas. Esta es el primer grupo de dos que hay en la academia.

En este evento también participaremos mis alumnos y yo con una exposición de arte. No se imaginan de los sorprendida que quedé al enterarme pues es algo que nunca imaginé vivir y estoy bien emocionada de poder formar parte de todo eso.
Las niñas lo repitieron una y otra vez, siempre con una sonrisa en la cara. Pero de repente el llanto de una de las más pequeñas opaco todo. Ella tenia un poco de malestar y quería irse con su mamá.
After this they started the rehearsals for the choreography that they will present in December in a big event that will take place in the city of Cabimas in a big theatre.
My students and I will also participate in this event with an art exhibition. You can't imagine how surprised I was when I found out because it is something I never imagined I would experience and I am very excited to be able to be part of it all.
The girls repeated this over and over again, always with a smile on their faces. But suddenly the crying of one of the younger girls overshadowed everything. She was feeling a bit sick and wanted to go to her mother.

Otras en cambio eran un tantito más serias. Hay todo un mundo que explorar para mí en cuanto a esto y es genial vivirlo antes de que me toque pues me prepara para yo saber cómo manejarlo.
Agradezco mucho haber ido este día, a pesar que mi cuerpo pedía a gritos que me fuera a casa a descansar.

All the girls had a unique personality and this was very noticeable. There were some like this little girl who was quite cheerful and playful. She bounced from one side to the other.
Others were a bit more serious. There's a whole world for me to explore and it's great to experience it before it touches me because it prepares me to know how to handle it.
I am very grateful that I went on this day, even though my body was screaming for me to go home and rest.
Luego llegó la hora de la merienda, en la que las niñas sacan las galletas o chucherías que llevaron para comer en su receso. Ellas se sientan todas en pequeños grupos y disfrutan de su descanso.
Then it was time for snack time, when the girls bring out the biscuits or sweets they took to eat during their break. They all sit in small groups and enjoy their break.
Continuaron los ensayos por otro rato y para finalizar la clase, Elieska las hace sentarse en círculo alrededor de ella para comentarles a cada una aquellas áreas en las que deben practicar o reforzar.
Luego les hace entrega de una sticker como premio por su esfuerzo en la clase. Esto es un lindo gesto que sin duda aplicaré en mis clases.
Terminamos un poco tarde porque llovió terriblemente fuerte y a algunas de las niñas no las habían podido buscar porque las calles estaban inundadas.
Llegué a casa a las 8 de la noche, súper agotada pero feliz por la experiencia vivida. Es lindo ver cómo algunas niñas se emocionaron al saber que yo daría la clase de pintura y me comentaron que les gustaría participar. Fue un lindo día el que compartí con ellas. 😊
They continued the rehearsals for another while and at the end of the class, Elieska has them sit in a circle around her to tell each of them what areas they need to practice or reinforce.
She then gives them a sticker as a reward for their efforts in class. This is a nice gesture that I will definitely apply in my classes.
We finished a little late because it rained terribly hard and some of the girls could not be picked up because the streets were flooded.
I got home at 8pm, super exhausted but happy for the experience. It was nice to see how excited some of the girls were to know that I would be teaching the painting class and they told me that they would like to participate. It was a nice day that I shared with them. 😊
