Como les comenté en mi post anterior, iba a realizar el primer taller en mi nuevo local a modo de celebración por la apertura de nuestros nuevos espacios.
Se me ocurrió hacer un taller en el que las personas fueran a pintar en obras colaborativas y para esto quise que la base fueran cartulinas.
La idea era que los 20 participantes estuvieran pintando al mismo tiempo sentados en el suelo en estas láminas de cartulina a las que les hice un diseño diferente. En total eran 4 y luego de buscar ideas me puse manos a la obra para trazarlas y tenerlas listas para el gran día.
As I mentioned in my previous post, I was going to do the first workshop in my new place as a celebration for the opening of our new spaces.
I thought of doing a workshop in which people were going to paint in collaborative works and for this I wanted the base to be cardboard.
The idea was that the 20 participants were painting at the same time sitting on the floor on these sheets of cardboard to which I made a different design. There were 4 in total and after looking for ideas I got down to work to trace them and have them ready for the big day.
Como no tengo mesa grande en casa me tumbé en el suelo para trabajar una a una. Algo bien chistoso que pasó es que cuando estaba en estas mi gato Simba se acercó para acompañarme y se acostó junto a mi. Fue lindo contar con su compañía el tiempo que estuve ahí trabajando.
Since I don't have a big table at home, I lay down on the floor to work one by one. A funny thing that happened is that when I was doing this my cat Simba came over to join me and lay down next to me. It was nice to have his company while I was there working.
El primer dibujo que hice fue de criaturas marinas, vi una imagen de referencia y fui haciendo los personajes acorde al espacio que me iba encontrando pues la imagen de referencia era vertical.
Luego de trazar el boceto tomé un marcador permanente y fui delineando uno a uno para que los participantes pudieran ver claramente en que partes debían pintar.
The first drawing I did was of sea creatures, I saw a reference image and I made the characters according to the space I found, since the reference image was vertical.
After drawing the sketch, I took a permanent marker and outlined one by one so that the participants could clearly see where they had to paint.
Luego hice uno con monstruos, Acá si me dejé llevar un poco y fui haciéndolos diferente a los de la referencia que encontré, incluso hice uno que se parecía a mi esposo.
Acá se me presentó un problema, y es que el marcador que estaba utilizando se me acabó y al hacer un intento con uno que tenía la punta ligeramente más gruesa me estresé un poco porque no tenía un buen acabado.
Decidí hacer una pausa hasta el siguiente día cuando tuviera un nuevo marcador de punta fina para terminar el trabajo y con pintura blanca arreglé un poco las líneas que estaban más gruesas.
Then I made one with monsters, here I got a little carried away and made them different from the reference I found, I even made one that looked like my husband.
Here I had a problem, the marker I was using ran out and when I tried with one that had a slightly thicker tip I got a little stressed because it didn't have a good finish.
I decided to pause until the next day when I had a new fine tip marker to finish the job and with white paint I fixed a little the lines that were thicker.
Y finalmente para los más adultos hice unas letras, las primeras con el nombre del taller y las otras con el nombre de nuestro centro artístico.
Quedé bastante satisfecha con los resultados, aunque no tenía ni idea de cual sería la receptividad de los participantes.
Ya solo restaba esperar que se hiciera el siguiente día para que se diera nuestro primer taller "Unidos por el arte". Pronto les compartiré todo sobre ese día. ♥
And finally for the older ones I made some letters, the first with the name of the workshop and the others with the name of our artistic center.
I was quite satisfied with the results, although I had no idea what the receptivity of the participants would be.
All that remained was to wait for it to be held the next day for our first workshop "United by Art" to take place. Soon I will share with you everything about that day. ♥
