As one of the OG bloggers from that other link in the chain from a long way back, I can remember the early days. It took a little while to find my footing, but eventually the content began to flow. Not that anyone saw it mind you, it took a bit more time for that to happen, but just getting into the swing of things as a blogger on the blockchain.

Hang time

It was difficult because I was (am still am) a student, so finding time to write quality posts while working and also keeping my grades up became a dicey juggling act. But with 168 hours in a week, it was possible to output at least two posts a week, without resorting to publishing shitposts or memes.

Less became more.

I'm writing this to encourage that brand-new blogger just starting out to just keep blogging and never give up. When I think back to my very first articles years before arriving on the blockchain, I'm happy not many people saw them at the time. But what I can tell you that the best way to become a better blogger is to keep at it, like a fine wine, it gets better with time.

Remember, I've only been doing this part-time since joining, and looking at my hive power, it seems I'm growing at about 1000 HP per year. Just imagine how much faster my account would grow as a full-time blogger? Some of you may be lucky enough to do that and turn what may have started out as a hobby, into the possibility of making a living as a blogger.

As for me, I love what I'm doing. Firing up the laptop and looking at the empty expanse of the text editor while filling it one line at a time, is awesome. Creating something where nothing existed before and knowing that it will live on after me, is a legacy I cannot deny. Blog on!
