Welcome October! It is starting to feel like summer is going away, weather is cooling down, the surroundings nature is changing and getting ready for cold times. Only three more months left to end the year, but there is still a lot of actions is expected to happen this year in crypto. However, September was absolutely uneventful. No major news, no drastic price movements, nothing. Or perhaps I was too busy and haven't paid attention much. If I missed any major news or price action in crypto feel free to share in comments.
Regardless, Hive live goes on, building continues, collaborations are strong, and most importantly HBD in Savings is still earning 20% APR. To start off the new months, and new beginnings, it is always great to check what has happened with HBD payments in the previous month. Today is time to take a look at numbers from September, 2023.
While total HBD interest payments are still above $100K HBD, there is a significant drop in total payments for September. It could also be due to September only having 30 days, instead of 31 in August. There is slight drop in number of accounts claiming the interest payments. That is another reason why there is drop. HBD interest payments are not auto-payments, there needs to be a claim trigger for payments to be sent.
Currently, the price of HBD seems to be below $1 USD. I am not sure why, but I am not worried and confident HBD always pulls back to $1.
