Hello, community greetings. This is the first time I am posting here. Thank you for giving all the opportunity to show our creativity. Today I made a simple traditional apple pie.

Here in Norway, autumn has started and it is the season for harvesting vegetables and fruits. In our garden, we have one apple tree and got lots of apples this year.

I washed, peeled, and sliced them. some I froze, some I used to make apple jam, my husband made apple cider vinegar, and I baked this apple pie. (normally it is my husband who makes typical American apple pie so this is a first for me).

Ingredients:

For crust:
1.5 cup white flour
2 pinches of salt
200 grams cold butter
2-3 tbs milk.

For filling:
3 cups apple slices
3/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon powder
.
Making process
First, make a crumbly dough.

Mix the cold butter into the flour using fingertips lightly so the butter doesn't melt.

Adding the cold milk gradually using just enough to make everything stick together.

Here is how the dough looks.

Now put the dough on a silicon sheet and very lightly gather it into a ball and roll it using a rolling pin.

p2.jpeg
here it is rolled out into a rough circle.

Then cut it into a circle using the pie pan as a guide.

Set the crust in the pie pan and poke holes using a fork. The remaining dough we save to make ribbons for the top crust.

Roll leftover cuttings into strips using a cutter or knife.

Now fill the pie pan with apple slices and sprinkle sugar on them.

p6.jpeg

Sprinkle cinnamon powder on the apple slices.

p5.jpeg
Arrange strips according to your choice, and place some small bits of butter on top.

Preheat oven to 230 C.

p1.jpeg
Bake at a high temperature of 230 C for around 15 minutes and reduce the heat to 200 C.

After reducing heat to 200 C Bake for around 25 minutes.

I learned it from my husband and tried it. It was very tasty and satisfying.
