Lots of people claim watching violent things lead to a violent nature but it ain't true at all or not in the most cases
I can tell you based on things I've seen over the years since I was a kid to now have been more violent than an average person lifestyle yet I'm not violent or some Psycho wandering on street searching for people to hunt at night.
I've watched a lot of movies with lots of violence, seen in real life, read a lot of violent news every now and than
Yea there's a lot of emotions that I've faced while watching these things, sometimes it was strange and depressing but I knew that's the part of life but yea I never enjoyed anything like that except for the time when it was in the movies.
I was born and raised in those street where it was so violent that we had cases like people being found dead in the bags somewhere around the corner in the city on the daylight
Talking about the time when there wasn't a single day Karachi didn't made it on the news
That pre 2010 was quite like hell for people and yet I was roaming in those streets and market, my grandma had shop back then so used to visit there everyday for the candies.
As a kid I heard gunshot couple of times but didn't know what was going on.
It did effected a lot of people mentally but as they say time like that don't last forever and now that same place is liveable except for the part where robbers are roaming and you have to keep your mobiles and wallet safe from them.
I have to admit it that movies and shows are boring when there's no violence like don't make people so soft, make those fighting scenes more realistic, hurt them bad dudes a little more for what they did
It's all fun and games as long as it's in the movies
But there are shows like "Jeffery Dahmer" I couldn't watch past episode 3rd
Since it made me so uncomfortable that I left watching it for my own good.
I never watch a movie that's too violent like Dahmer is a fine example, it was like nah I shouldn't watch it cause I don't want to see any of it that effects me in any way
Like I was afraid If I watched and kept watching who knows what kinda trait I'd adapt from his character
Movies influence people big time
I've been influenced by a lot of characters and movies but from the beginning I made sure only the right one influence my way of thinking and lifestyle
Like I do have sympathy for the villains with backstory, ain't no one becomes villain just because they enjoy
But doesn't mean I'll let them influence my thoughts or make me violent in real life, it's upto us how we want to act in person with anyone
Wrapping Up...
the fact that those who are grown up in a violent place and watching violent things it could turn them into more violent only if they let those ideas influence them
Also I've seen people who are grown up in a toxic family often becomes soft and kind hearted cause they know what it feels like going through a violent phase in life
So yea, it totally depends on the person and the scenario.
Wonder what's your thoughts on about this, do share it in the comments.
