I'm waking up to a brand new day and it's the new month which consequently reminded me that we just welcomed the last quarter of the year. Geez! Wonder where time goes! It seems to fly by so fast!
Anyhow, speaking of the new month, it's Hive Power Up Day and there's this self-promise made some time ago to keep growing in this blockchain and part of that is increasing my stakes as well. That 'self-fulfilling' quest or goal started on the 1st of January 2022 and this is going to be my 22nd month participating in the Hive tradition (HPUD) and the 608th day of staking HIVE. It's a habit formed out of commitment and I'm just glad to be making it this far.
Today, I'm adding up a level 3 badge to my board by powering up 100 HIVE. And what a surprise that it crossed 14k Hive Power with an effective HP of 11.6k since I have some HP delegated. Per Hivestats, at less than 100% voting mana, the vote value is $0.55 worth of HIVE if I'm understanding it correctly.

I couldn't be more thankful and will continue to BUIDL to hopefully one day, be able to give out a dollar's worth of upvote. Aah, that thought excites me, to be honest. It will be my way of paying forward, kinda. It may take some time but the journey will be worthwhile.
An Invitation to Zealy
Meanwhile, let me take this opportunity to share once more about the Hive community on Zealy which was borne out of the goal to introduce the Hive blockchain to other people, not only those on Web 2 but also those on other Web 3 communities. I believe most of us have at least read or heard about it. But just in case this is your first time, please read on.
A Brief Intro
It is a platform that helps Web 3 communities (like Hive) drive growth and engagement by involving their own members as contributors. There are thousands of communities from different blockchains and categories and they run campaigns with various prize pools.
Anyone interested can join and participate of course! It's one of the ways to learn more about a project and its community.
The Hive Community on Zealy
Leo's goal is to increase or grow the users of the blockchain and the Hive community on Zealy was created last month for this purpose and the idea is that we, the active users here on Hive will rally behind this initiative through our own activities and participation.
The first campaign is ongoing and consider this my personal invitation to you if you're not on it yet. If you are thinking it is too late, I would say it's not. While you might be starting later than the others on the current campaign, you can consider it as your chance to familiarize yourself with how it works, get the hang of it and you will be ready for the next one because per previous information, there will be monthly campaigns with different prize pools.
Whilst there are over 11k daily active accounts here on-chain, the community on Zealy is yet to grow, hence this invitation. And if you're up for it, you can use this invite link, connect with your preferred method (wallet, email, or Discord) and start completing missions.
The current campaign has a prize pool of 1,500 HBD (Updated). As I mentioned above, you may feel it's too late to join in but not so. Depending on your area of strength, you still have a chance to overtake even those who started early. The missions are getting more interesting and who knows, one of those missions with large XP is where your strong points are!
And remember, the adoption and growth of Hive is a win for us too. The more users, the DApps will thrive, and the blockchain will be buzzing with transactions and activities, which I believe will eventually drive more people, and consequently may mean more using the Hive currencies (HIVE, HBD, Layer 2 tokens).
Personal Thoughts
HPUD is a wonderful initiative where we are encouraged to join others in growing our stakes every first of the month. There are even prizes for eligible participants and not to forget the Hivebuzz HPUD badge that gets added to our boards.
I'm mostly out of the loop when it comes to what's happening around and joining the Hive campaign on Zealy has been a good source of information and learning for me. It will be a bonus if I'll ever make it into the top 40% of the leaderboard.
