Every May 4th Star Wars Day is celebrated for the enjoyment of fans around the world. In my city, an activity organized by Matsucon, an association that organizes this type of events, was held in conjunction with the Metropolis Shopping Center.
Last Sunday the central plaza of the mall received all the fans of the iconic saga, who gathered to share and have a good time, either with cosplay alluding to Star Wars, or any other cosplay of their choice.
Cada 4 de mayo se celebra el Día de Star Wars para disfrute de los fans de todo el mundo. En mi ciudad se llevó a cabo una actividad organizada por Matsucon, asociación que organiza este tipo de eventos, en conjunto con el Centro Comercial Metrópolis.
El pasado domingo la plaza central del centro comercial recibió a todos los fanáticos de la icónica saga, quienes se reunieron para compartir y pasar un buen rato, ya sea con cosplay alusivo a Star Wars, o cualquier otro cosplay de su preferencia.
Starting at noon, the stands began to be set up for the sale of figures, T-shirts, accessories and posters. The Matuson guys also set up their booths. There was an excellent variety, the posters were the most requested, since they had a cost of 1$.
Minutes passed and some cosplayers arrived, there were many Star Wars themed cosplayers, since it was the day to celebrate it. There were also cosplayers who brought other characters. All of them would participate in the final part of the cosplay catwalk, whose winner would get as a prize to have his own artist booth in the expected edition of La Matuson this year.
A partir del mediodía comenzaron a montarse los stands para la venta de figuras, franelas, accesorios y carteles. Los chicos de Matuson también montaron sus stands. Había una excelente variedad, los posters eran los más solicitados, ya que tenían un costo de 1$.
Pasaban los minutos y llegaban algunos cosplayers, había muchos de temática Star Wars, ya que era el día para celebrarlo. También había cosplayers que traían otros personajes. Todos ellos participarían en la parte final de la pasarela de cosplay, cuyo ganador obtendría como premio tener su propio stand de artista en la esperada edición de La Matuson de este año.

The event animation company Marian Party was present with seven characters. Padme Amidala, Anakin, Obi Wan, Imperial Soldier, Darth Vader, Darth Maul and Palpatine. They attracted a lot of attention and the audience took pictures with all of them. They also recreated fights between the characters.
The other cosplayers also took pictures with these characters and with all the people who approached them. The children had a great time, taking pictures with the different cosplayers.
La empresa de animación de eventos Marian Party estuvo presente con siete personajes. Padme Amidala, Anakin, Obi Wan, Soldado Imperial, Darth Vader, Darth Maul y Palpatine. Llamaron mucho la atención y el público se hizo fotos con todos ellos. También recrearon peleas entre los personajes.
Los demás cosplayers también se hacían fotos con estos personajes y con toda la gente que se les acercaba. Los niños se lo pasaron en grande, haciéndose fotos con los diferentes cosplayers.

The cosplay catwalk was entertaining. Rebiday, organizer and host of the event, called them one by one and said which character they were playing. The cosplayers quickly went on stage to do some representation of their character, although others were more shy and just walked around the stage for the audience to see and applaud them.
The winner was the young Mapuche cosplayer who wore a Darht Maul cosplay. The cosplay was very well put together and she deservedly took the win.
La pasarela de cosplay estuvo entretenida. Rebiday, organizadora y anfitriona del evento, los fue llamando uno a uno y diciendo qué personaje interpretaban. Los cosplayers subieron rápidamente al escenario para hacer alguna representación de su personaje, aunque otros fueron más tímidos y se limitaron a pasear por el escenario para que el público les viera y aplaudiera.
La ganadora fue la joven Cosplayer mapuche . que llevo un cosplay de Darht Maul. El Cosplay estaba muy bien elaborado y se llevó la victoria merecidamente.

Star Wars fans had a great time that day. Taking pictures with all the characters and celebrating this franchise that many people love. I like the first three Star Wars movies. The classic ones. When they released episodes 1, 2 and 3, I wasn't very satisfied and the last three movies, I haven't finished watching the third one.
I'm still enjoying the atmosphere and taking pictures.

Los fans de Star Wars se lo pasaron en grande ese día. Haciéndose fotos con todos los personajes y celebrando esta franquicia que a mucha gente le encanta. Me gustan las tres primeras películas de Star Wars. Las clásicas. Cuando estrenaron los episodios 1, 2 y 3, no quedé muy satisfecho y las tres últimas películas, no he terminado de ver la tercera.
Sigo disfrutando del ambiente y haciendo fotos.
