Hello everyone at Hive, a great community of movies and TV shows. I hope you're doing great. This time I'm here to talk a little about an interesting series. I'll give you my honest opinion on "Love After Music." It was like riding an emotional roller coaster straight to the heart of Latin rock. If you don't know Fito Páez yet, he's no ordinary musician. Some consider him a legend. The guy has tons of Latin Grammys and awards for Musical Excellence... Crazy! I mean, they don't just give those things to anyone. This already prepares you to watch a series that is a pure tribute to his talent and his life.
From minute one, the series hooks you, telling you everything from when Fito was a little boy in Rosario, Argentina, back in '78. It's incredible to see how he went from being a musician who dreamed of playing to becoming an icon of rock en español. The series not only shows you the most important moments of his career, but also lets you see how his experiences were always linked to his music. You feel like Fito’s heart is beating to the rhythm of every note he plays on the piano or guitar, it’s crazy stuff… this isn’t just a boring biography, it’s like diving headfirst into how life, with all the good and bad, shapes art… And I have to say, they paid attention to every detail, impressive! Every scene seems like a love letter to the 80s and 90s vibe, the way the series recreates the visual aesthetic of those times is brutal… it transports you back to those times where rock was rawer, more real, without so many twists and turns.
Hola a todos amigos de Hive, gran comunidad de Movies and TV Shows, espero que estén genial, en esta ocasión vengo a hablarles un poco de una serie interesante, les daré mi opinión honesta de: “Love After Music” y esto fue como subirse a una montaña rusa emocional directo al corazón del rock latino.. si todavía no conocen a Fito Páez, no es un músico cualquiera, algunos lo consideran una leyenda, el tipo tiene como muchos Grammys Latinos, premios a la Excelencia Musical... ¡Una locura! O sea, no le regalan esas cosas a cualquiera, esto ya te prepara para ver una serie que es puro homenaje a su talento y a su vida..
Desde el minuto uno, la serie te engancha contándote todo desde que Fito era un chico pequeño en Rosario, Argentina, allá por el 78.. es increíble ver cómo pasó de ser un músico que soñaba con tocar, a convertirse en un ícono del rock en español, la serie no solo te muestra los momentos más importantes de su carrera, sino que también te deja ver cómo sus vivencias siempre estuvieron pegadas a su música. Sientes como si el corazón de Fito latiera al ritmo de cada nota que toca en el piano o la guitarra, es una cosa de locos.. esto no es solo una biografía aburrida, es como meterte de cabeza en cómo la vida, con todo lo bueno y lo malo, le da forma al arte.. Y tengo que decirlo, se fijaron en cada detalle, ¡impresionante! Cada escena parece una carta de amor a la onda de los 80 y 90, la manera en que la serie recrea esa estética visual de esas épocas es brutal.. te transporta de una a esos tiempos donde el rock era más crudo, más real, sin tanta vuelta.
Let's talk about the episodes. The series has eight chapters, each with a name that gives you a clue as to what you're about to see. And look, even though it sounds simple, it really works. It keeps you hooked, and the story flows super well. It's one of those times when less is more. Instead of stretching the cliché, the creators focused on the important things in Fito's life. From his explosion in the '80s to the quieter moments now, each episode has its purpose and is well done. I was left wanting to see more, not because they leave you hanging at the end, but because each chapter makes you connect more with Fito's music and with him as a person.
One of the coolest things about the series is how it shows you that Fito's life and his music go hand in hand. It's as if every drama, every joy, every moment spent reflecting on life is embedded in his songs. I remember an episode where they explained so well how his experiences are reflected in his lyrics, I felt like I was hearing his songs for the first time! Songs like "La Rumba del Piano," "Ciudad de pobres corazones," "Giros," and, of course, "Amor tras amor"—for longtime fans, it's a nostalgic journey through those anthems. For those new to him, it's the perfect excuse to delve into his discography. And speaking of performances, Iván Hochman is amazing as Fito Páez! Seriously, you watch it and it grabs you immediately, his performance is so real, so human, that you believe you're watching the real Fito on the screen... the guy made an effort to nail every detail of the character, from his rockstar attitude to those moments where he looks more vulnerable and as if the past weighs on him.
Hablemos de los episodios, la serie tiene ocho capítulos, cada uno con un nombre que te da una pista de lo que vas a ver.. y miren, aunque suene simple, realmente funciona, te mantiene enganchado y la historia fluye súper bien.. es de esas veces que menos es más, en vez de estirar el cliché, los creadores se enfocaron en lo importante de la vida de Fito. Desde que explotó en los 80 hasta los momentos más tranquilos de ahora, cada episodio tiene su razón de ser y está bien hecho.. yo me quedé con ganas de ver más, no porque te dejen colgado al final, sino porque cada capítulo te hace conectar más con la música de Fito y con él como persona.
Una de las cosas más geniales de la serie es cómo te muestra que la vida de Fito y su música van de la mano.. es como si cada drama, cada alegría, cada momento de pensar en la vida, estuviera metido en sus canciones, me acuerdo de un capítulo donde te explicaban tan bien cómo sus vivencias se reflejan en sus letras, ¡que sentí que escuchaba sus temas por primera vez! Canciones como “La Rumba del Piano”, “Ciudad de pobres corazones”, “Giros” y obvio, “Amor tras amor”, para los que son fans de siempre, es un viaje de nostalgia por esos himnos.. para los que recién lo conocen, es la excusa perfecta para clavarse con su discografía. Y hablando de actuaciones, qué grande Iván Hochman como Fito Páez! en serio, lo ves y te atrapa al toque, su actuación es tan real, tan humana, que te crees que estás viendo a Fito de verdad en la pantalla.. el tipo se esforzó para clavar cada detalle del personaje, desde la actitud de rockstar hasta esos momentos donde se lo ve más vulnerable y como que el pasado le pesa.
“Love After Music” not only tells you about Fito and his music, but it paints an incredible picture of what Argentina and Latin America were like at the end of the 20th century. The series doesn't just focus on the music; it shows you the entire cultural, political, and social turmoil we were experiencing at that time. For those of us who grew up hearing stories about those turbulent times, or for anyone curious about where Latin rock came from, this series gives you that context without boring you like a history class. They tell you things with respect, but they make you realize how changes in society influenced music, and vice versa. I liked that the series stayed away from over-the-top dramas. Instead of getting into sensationalist messes and conflicts that go nowhere, they chose to show Fito's life in an honest and real way.
They don't sugarcoat his life, but they don't just throw in cheap drama either. That balance is greatly appreciated, especially when many biographical series are almost always exaggerated. Here they focus on Fito's work and how complicated it was for rock en español, with a respectful, yet humane vibe... and the best part is that you'll devour the series in no time. With only eight well-crafted episodes, it's perfect for a relaxing weekend; it doesn't force you to binge-watch an endless series; it gives you a concentrated and juicy dose of Fito's life and music, ideal for binge-watching! I remember starting an episode late at night and before I knew it, the hours had flown by, totally immersed in the story. It's one of those series that makes you want to pause and think a little about what you just saw, even if it's just for a minute.
“Love After Music” no solo te habla de Fito y su música, sino que te pinta un cuadro increíble de cómo era Argentina y Latinoamérica a fines del siglo XX.. la serie no se queda solo en la música, te muestra toda la movida cultural, política y social que estábamos viviendo en esa situación, para los que crecimos escuchando historias de esos tiempos revueltos, o para cualquiera que le pique la curiosidad de dónde salió el rock latino, esta serie te da ese contexto pero sin aburrirte como en una clase de historia. Te lo cuentan con respeto, pero te hacen darte cuenta de cómo los cambios en la sociedad influenciaron la música y viceversa, a mí me gustó que la serie se alejara de los dramas exagerados, en vez de meterse en líos sensacionalistas y conflictos que no van a ningún lado, eligieron mostrar la vida de Fito de forma honesta y real.
No te endulzan la vida, pero tampoco te meten puro drama barato.. ese equilibrio se agradece un montón, sobre todo cuando muchas series biográficas casi siempre exageran. Acá se centran en la obra de Fito y lo complicado que fue para el rock en español, con una onda respetuosa, pero a la vez humana.. y una cosa que es lo mejor de todo es que la serie te la devoras en nada. Con solo ocho episodios bien armados, es perfecta para un finde de relax, no te obliga a engancharte con una serie eterna, te da una dosis concentrada y jugosa de la vida y música de Fito, ideal para maratonear! me acuerdo que empecé un capítulo tarde a la noche y cuando me di cuenta, se me habían pasado las horas volando, totalmente metido en la historia, es de esas series que te dan ganas de ponerle pausa y pensar un poco en lo que acabas de ver, aunque sea un minuto.
They excelled with the setting, both in what you see and what you hear. The details, from the clothes and the scenery to how they incorporate the music into the story, are so real that it feels like you've traveled back in time to the 80s and 90s! This way of recreating everything with such care gives the story an extra touch; each scene is thought out in detail, making the era not just a background, but a key part of Fito's life. I was very pleased with the work they put into each episode, and that made me enjoy the series even more. It's not that everything was perfect; there were moments where I felt like everything was going too fast, and sometimes I wished there had been more time for Fito's quieter moments, to think a little more. But honestly, those little details didn't ruin the experience at all; they just reminded me of how eventful the musician's life was and how unstoppable his creativity was!
And maybe that was what they wanted to show, the life of a guy who was a whirlwind of emotions, and whose music was what kept him going... for me, it's a beautiful series, full of feeling, that does justice to the legacy of Fito Páez, it's something that not only fans of his music will like, but anyone who enjoys a good story about how one grows as a person and as an artist. The production is top notch, the acting touches your soul, and the story finds the right balance between nostalgia and raw, real emotion... it is, in the end, a love letter to Fito and his music, a story that invites you to feel every beat, and every memory...
I give “Love After Music” an 8.5/10, not only because of how well done it is or how great Ivan Hochman is at acting, but because of the heart they put into the series... because of how they respect Fito Páez’s life and tell it to you in such an honest, moving way. There were moments that made me laugh, others that made me cry, and many times I nodded thinking, “Yes, that’s how it feels!” If you like music, history, or just a good story about how we are as humans, I highly recommend you give “Love After Music” a chance... it’s one of those rare series that teaches you, entertains you, and inspires you all at the same time... and well, that’s it. Se lucieron con la ambientación, tanto en lo que ves como en lo que escuchas.. los detalles, desde la ropa y la escenografía hasta cómo meten la música en la historia, son tan reales que parece que viajaste en el tiempo a los 80 y 90! Esta onda de recrear todo con tanto cuidado le da un toque extra a la historia, cada escena está pensada al detalle, haciendo que la época no sea solo un fondo, sino parte clave de la vida de Fito.. yo quedé muy a gusto con el trabajo que le metieron a cada episodio, y eso hizo que disfrutara la serie más. Tampoco es que todo fue perfecto, hubo momentos donde sentí que iba todo muy rápido, y a veces me quedé con ganas de que hubiera más tiempo para esos momentos más tranquilos de Fito, para pensar un poco más, pero la verdad, esos pequeños detalles no me arruinaron la experiencia para nada, ¡solo me hicieron recordar lo movida que fue la vida del músico y lo imparable que era su creatividad!
Y capaz que eso era lo que querían mostrar, la vida de un tipo que fue un torbellino de emociones, y cuya música fue lo que lo mantuvo en pie.. para mí, es una serie hermosa, llena de sentimiento, que le hace justicia al legado de Fito Páez, es algo que le va a gustar no solo a los fans de su música, sino a cualquiera que disfrute una buena historia de cómo uno crece como persona y como artista. La producción es de primera, la actuación te llega al alma, y la historia encuentra el punto justo entre la nostalgia y la emoción cruda y real.. es, al final, una carta de amor a Fito y a su música, una historia que te invita a sentir cada latido, y cada recuerdo..
Yo le doy a “Love After Music” un 8.5/10, no solo por lo bien hecha que está o por lo genial que es Iván Hochman actuando, sino por el corazón que le pusieron a la serie.. por cómo respetan la vida de Fito Páez y te la cuentan de una forma tan honesta y que te llega, hubo momentos que me hicieron reír, otros que me hicieron lagrimear, y muchas veces asentía pensando, “¡Sí, así mismo se siente!”.. si te gusta la música, la historia, o simplemente una buena historia sobre cómo somos los humanos, te recomiendo un montón que le des una oportunidad “Love After Music”.. es de esas series raras que te enseñan, te entretienen y te inspiran al mismo tiempo.. y bueno, eso es todo por hoy nos vemos en las próximas reseñas, cuidense mucho, byebye!
