Less than 20 kilometers after stopping at Lewis Pass for photos of snow in the trees and on the road in my previous post. St James Walkway was my next stop, and for those that follow my travel photos that I share on Hive, you will know that St. James Walkway is my favorite stop for a refreshing 10 minutes return walk whenever I am traveling through Lewis Pass.
It is a short walk with refreshing scenic views regardless of the season. This was my first winter experience of St. James Walkway, it was cold at -4 degrees Celsius, but it was a walk that was worth every moment, and I wished to stay longer, but because of the long drive, I had to get going. It was amazing to see the water turned ice.
I drove past Lewis Pass in the rain today, and after the rain comes freezing temperatures, so I might see some snow when I drive back to Christchurch on Saturday.
