I've just minted my latest NFT artwork on the Hive blockchain, which you can view or purchase at https://nftshowroom.com/gallery/julianhorack_collages-julescape-q1-2025_here-comes-the-bull-run.
It's called Here comes the bull run and was completed a few weeks ago in Q1 of 2025, though only minted as NFT now. It echoes the theme of this year, which is the long awaited bitcoin bull market, which returns now after a wait of three years since the peak of the last bitcoin bull run, and its blow-off top back in late 2021.
In this collage I have followed by usual style of finding magazine pictures and then cutting them out to glue into a new hybrid image based on my own fertile imagination. This old-school handmade style of collage art is quite rare nowadays, as most artists turn to digital production. I like to think I'm unique by combining this old fashioned style of collage along with the newest cutting edge style of NFT production.
In this current work you can see my familiar theme of sci-fi landscape and spaceman, which is seen in previous collages. Here the lunar landscape shows Krishna and his brother Balarama in the bottom left corner bringing the bulls home. Krishna is the sacred god of the Vedic civilization of ancient India, famous for his narration of the Sanskrit text Bhagavad Gita, and known as the player of the flute and protector of the cows and bulls.
Well the bulls are arriving on the moon because that's the destination of Bitcoin price - to the moon. On the right foreground corner you can see some pudgy penguins, echoing the famous NFT collection of the same name. The idea presented in this collage artwork is that of jewels or gems flowing from a satellite down to the spaceman and his laptop; including a big gold sphere, symbolizing the profits accruing via trading on the laptop and investing in cryptocurrency for this particular bull run.
The main leaders in this bull cycle of 2025 are AI agents, including robotics of course, as echoed in the image of the reclining robot-like model in the foreground. The recurring theme of abundance and wealth flowing towards the spaceman as he heads to the moon, is all my visualization of the hoped for bull market. I make these images to pass the time while I await the arrival of the cryptocurrency bull market, like a vision board predicting and invoking the future desired outcome.
You can see similar spacemen and space landscapes with gems and jewels all pictured in some of my other NFT collage artworks in my gallery. I have decided to mint only three editions of this collage, adding to its scarcity. Two are on sale for 21 Hive tokens each, while the remaining edition stays in my gallery.
I also retain the original handmade paper collage, which is a bit bigger than A4. Of course, if anyone wishes to purchase the original, that can be arranged. Not that I expect the hoards of art dealers to be lining up just yet. Maybe once I'm dead my art will gain its true legendary status, or at least stay on the Hive blockchain as part of my legacy of original creative content.
Be sure to check out my gallery of NFT artworks for sale at the link above, or peruse any of the other artists' works at the NFT showroom. I love taking a look to see what the zeitgeist is among contemporary NFT artists today, as seen via their collective output of imagery. You be surprised to see some recurring themes among individual separate artists from all around the world.
