First off, I just want to give a massive shoutout to everyone who organized the HiveFest event this year. TheyCallMeDan, Eddie and Starkerz killed it with everything.

The whole event was super smooth. They had awesome daytime events as well as nighttime activities. Tons of bonding, drinks and good times were had!

Special shoutout to Starkerz who made my life easy in terms of getting there. He did me a solid and helped me organize a bunch of transportation, so I appreciate that!

In the featured image of this post you can see me talking about LEO. The speech went well and I'll get a clip of it at some point and post it up on 3speak.

I did some Q&A at the end and got some fantastic questions about LEO, Hive and where everything is headed. I always love Q&A! As you all know in the weekly AMAs.

Eric and I sat down for a Fireside chat with Crim. It was about 30-45 minutes long and we chatted about all things LEO and Hive. Great times and great questions!

A big shoutout to @crimsonclad who literally did 6 hours a day on these fireside chats. I was dead after 30 minutes of it but this seems to be her superpower.

Day 1

Day 1 of the event was held outside. Super beautiful day! I enjoyed listening to a few of the talks, @vaultec's stood out to me. We also did a fun roundtable at the end with Alessandra.

After touching down, Nifty Eric and I met IRL for the first time!

That night, there was a rooftop party. Here you can see a wild Nifty and Starkerz dancing to the beat.

posting this here for Starkerz bc, do you even have a hive account bro?

Day 2

On Day 2, we all loaded up into the bus and headed to dinner at a nice resort down the street. Even @taskmaster4450 made an appearance.

After dinner, there were two piñatas. The second one was a Hive piñata and that MF did not break! It took 12 different swingers. TheyCallMeDan stepped in at the end and sent it to the moon.

Poker Night

The final night (for me at least, I know a bunch of people stayed through the weekend and enjoyed some extra post-event festivities).

We played poker in the penthouse. It was a good time with good frens!

What Happens in Rosarito...

Of course, I'm making this post so I guess it didn't all stay in Rosarito.

We went out on the last night before I headed back to the states. It was a great time with everyone!

Oh, Nifty and I sang Karaoke one of the nights too. I've got a video that I'll consider posting lol.

Recap

Overall, this was so much fun. I can't believe I've never made it to a HiveFest before - but I'm not much of a traveler. I prefer to stay in my lair and work lol.

That being said, this HiveFest taught me that there is so much value in meeting people in real life. I want to do more of this conference circuiting. I learned this in Vegas as well - we got over 300 signups to Leo's Hive onboarding system for Lite accounts at that conference.

Clearly, there is a lot of personal and business value to be gained by doing these in-person events.

Not only to have fun and connect but also to build the monthly active users on Hive and bring more people to the best blockchain on earth.

I left and texted Eric right when I got home saying that I had FOMO for leaving. I missed HiveFest already and can't wait for 2024's HF. Who knows where it will be, but I know that I will make it there no matter what.

To everyone I met and hung out with - it was such a pleasure and honor to hang with you! I loved meeting all of you and spending time together IRL. I extended many of you an invitation to come out to Chicago any time, hit me up and hang out again!

Love you all and hope to see you again soon, frens!
