Let's prepare Vegan Pan -Seared Squash 🍈

Hello Vegans and happy Sunday.

I've had this squash a while now and I wanted to make something very different with it other than boiling it and scooping the pulp which is very popular in my area. I brought out some ingredients in preparation for the dish I'm about to make.

These are the few ingredients I used in making this pan- Seared Squash

  • 1 medium squash
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 clove garlic
  • ½ teaspoon of cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 Stalks of Pumpkin Leaves

Here's how I prepared this nice dish:

  1. Wash the squash and open it, with a knife, remove the flesh, dice it and keep aside.

  1. Wash the pepper and peel the garlic and pound them.

  1. Sclice the pumpkin leaves and keep them prepared.

  2. Heat the pan to medium temperature and put in the vegetable oil, diced squash pan-searing them to lock in the freshness and creating crust on the outside, add the pounded pepper and garlic still pan-searing then add in the cumin, then the leaves (pumpkin leaves) and pan-sear them for about 9 minutes.

  1. Enjoy with rice or just like that.

This recipe is very delicious, it turned out exactly how I expected it. This is one meal I will never forget easily.
