It's 1st October, inktober begins at this time and it's usually a fun challenge for artists and art lovers.

It's an everyday thing, you follow a prompt, draw and post it online.
Will I be participating this year? Nah, I did it last year though, it was fun and stressful but totally worth it.
Anyway, this is my submission to the cosmic creations contest, the challenge is to pick any of the inktober prompts and create your art, SPARKLE was my choice and I enjoyed making this...
PROCESS
This work stressed me out though, I erased two different works I started because they just didn't look right. I did the sketch for this one and painted base colours to her skin and hair, I'm really glad I chose white for her hair. I then painted her facial features but her nose and lips were a problem for reasons I can't explain, it happens though🤷
I started rendering her skin, adding very dark shadows to hidden areas like her chest and lighter highlights to some areas of her face and hands. I added more strands and colours to her hair and also painted the butterflies, I chose a very light blue shade and painted over her hands, I then set the layer to dissolve and it created this scattering dot effect.
For the sparkle, I added two new layers and set them to hard mix and color dodge, I found a sparkle brush and began to add some glow, I also use my normal brushes to paint white and gold effects. Overall, I love how this work turned out, I hope you like it too
