Hello Hive Gamers! Arcade Colony surprised us with the announcement that pack opening is live for their latest game, Stakehouse Den. Stakehouse Den is a casino based game where players can bet virtual currencies called Hotsauce for a chance to win Colony tokens. Currently packs can be bought from the Arcade Colony shop
Buying Ladyluck Packs
A pack costs four thousand (4,000) SCRIPTS or CREDITS and there are only over seventy thousand (70k+) packs available. I bought one pack to have something to start the game with. Similar to Splinterlands packs, each Ladyluck pack contain five card with one guaranteed rare or better. There are also chances to get gold foil cards. I opened the pack and here's what I got:
I got two rare cards (King and Queen) and the rest common. I didn't get any epic or legendary cards though. There were no gold foils either but that's fine. I'll try my luck once I have some SCRIPTS to buy more packs.
How to Use the Cards
The cards are supposed to be staked to earn Hotsauce currency. The higher the rarity and level of cards (cards can be combined to level up), the higher the Hotsauce earned. The Hotsauce can then be used to bet in the Stakehouse Den's three available games (Black Jack, Roulette and Slots) for a chance to earn COLONY tokens.
Currently, the games are not yet live but they can already be tested if you want to try it and have some fun in the casino. You won't earn any tokens yet though.
How to Play
In the test phase, Stakehouse Den provides players with one hundred thousand (100,000) Hotsauce tokens that you can use to bet in games. I tried my luck with Black Jack.
First, place your bets.
The game will start with your first cards. There are choices if you want to hit, stay, double or split.
I chose to hit since I only have thirteen afterwhich I got seventeen and decided to stay.
The dealer busts and I won some reward shares (Rshares)!
Final Thoughts
Stakehouse Den is fun to play without the risk of losing money. Simply stake your NFTs, earn Hotsauce tokens and you're good to go play and enjoy this latest casino game from Arcade Colony. At the moment, there are only three games available with Poker to follow. I'm hoping more casino games will be added in the future.
