Overview
Today I brought a Ranked battle, where I got one of my favorite ruleset and it will be very important what kind of monsters I will use, because the mana cap was not that high as well. ๐
My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)
Ruleset | Description |
---|---|
Melee Mayhem | Melee attack Monsters can attack from any position. |
Stampede | All monsters will have the Trample ability. |
The mana cap for my next battle was 30, which is not that much at all, so I had to be careful what to choose and where to put them. The Melee Mayhem is one of my favorite ruleset, because it will allow all the melee attack monsters to abe able to attack from any position in the lineup. ๐
Monster wise this gives a lot of options to choose from especially if my opponent didn't pay enough attention to it and many times they will be surprised.
The Stampede ruleset will give Trample ability to all the monsters on the battlefield, but only the melee attack ones will benefit from it. The Tample ability means that if a melee attack monster kills its target he will get a free attack to the monster behind it. ๐
My lineup
|Octavia Shadowmeld is a special Death Summoner, because she will decrease the health to all of her enemies by one, but most importantly she is able to bring one additional Gladiator monster into this battle, which is pretty insane. ๐|
|The Cursed Windeku is an amzing tank within the Death Splinter especially in a low mana battle, because he cost only 6 mana and has quite a lot of health. He also has the Thorns ability, so he will be able to reflect two damage back to any melee attack monster who dare to target him. ๐|

|The Wily Coyotian cost only two mana, which is nice, but his stats is not that good, but with the help of my Ravenhood Warden he will have +2 melee attack damage. At least he has armor on its own, which is good to block few attacks and to protect my backline. ๐
|
|The Dark Arborist cost only four mana and she has only one magic attack damage, which is not that good. More importantly she has the Demoralize ability, which will decrease the melee attack of the enemy monsters by one. ๐|

|Trapp Falloway was the whole reason I picked Octavia for this battle, because his defense is quite weak to use him in the first position, but as as a melee attacker in the Melee Mayhem ruleset he is just too perfect. He has huge amount of damage and speed and on top of that he has the Bloodlust ability as a Gladiator monster, which means that if he manages to kill his target he will increase his own stat by one permanently. ๐|
|The Ravenhood Warden is a ranged attack monster and I had to bring him with a very good reason! He has +2 ranged attack damage with two very powerful ability. The first is his Protect and the second is his Inspire abilitiy. This is just too good to miss out, because he will give +2 armor and +1 melee attack to his friendly monsters as long as he is alive. ๐|

|The Clockwork Aide doesn't have any attack on its own, so he is just my backline protector against any Sneak or Opportunity attack monster. He has only one health, but a lot of armor, so he is a perfect monster to sustain a lot of damage. He also has the Rust ability to remove the enemy armors by two and also the Swiftness ability, which will increase the speed of all of his friendly monsters by one. ๐|
The Battle

My opponent brought Lobb Lowland who is an Earth Summoner and his main ability is similar to mine, because he is also able to bring one additional Gladiator monster into this abttle. He will also decerease the speed of all of his enemy monsters. ๐
The first round started perfectly, because Trapp Falloway managed to kill their tank and he immediately increased all of his stats by one.
The beginning of the second round was also amazing, because my Falloway was the quickest and again he killed their off tank and also gained some stats.
Still in the same round my melee attackers took advantage of the Melee Mayhem and quickly killed their Uraeus who fell into the first position. ๐
Just before the second round finished their Katrelba managed to kill my Clockwork Aide, which boosted her up as well and my backline became wide open before her.
Luckily my team killed their Queen Mycelia and their Katrelba fell into the first position and became their new tank, but she is a damage dealer and didn't survive long enough there and all of their monsters died in the third round allowing me to win this battle. ๐ค

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy was to take advantage of the Melee Mayhem ruleset and that is why I brought the Death Splinter who is very good to decrease the melee attack of the enemy monsters and they have very good tanks and damage dealers if the mana cap is not that high. ๐
