Greetings, welcome back to my blog.
Following the postponement of the earlier scheduled workshop at Young Directors Tech World, 173 Hospital Road, Aba, which was put together by one of the local guides in my city, @marajah under her HBD Marketing Biz, due to unforeseen circumstances, the event was finally held on Monday, 5th May, 2025.
I'm thrilled to announce to you that it was a huge success, all thanks to the teamed efforts and resilience of myself, @marajah, the imitator, and the wonderful @debbydaniels. We didn't let the disappointment from the earlier postponement dampen our spirits and enthusiasm to share the word about Hive and SpendHBD. We showed up with renewed energy and enthusiasm, and our dedication and commitment paid off.
Special thanks to @debbydaniels, who despite having visitors, didn't let that stop her from attending. In fact, she brought them along with her. Her dedication and commitment are truly commendable! 👍
I arrived the venue around past 12:00pm, which was time of the event. But the event couldn't start off immediately because the students were to have their lectures first.
Lecture time
Although that was unexpected, we couldn't do otherwise. So we waited patiently until their lectures, which lasted over 2 hours, were over.
On the wait
After their lecture, @marajah were called upon and she gave a wonderful talk about Hive and SpendHBD project. You can watch some of the clips in thish post, which I previously published.
Her talk was received with keen interest, and they all listened with rapt attention. Anyone there could see surprise etched on their faces as she walked them through the SpendHBD project. Who wouldn't be surprised on hearing about Hive and this wonderful project, SpendHBD.
Some of them were so excited and didn't want the opportunity to slip by. So after attending to their questions and concerns, their accounts were created - namely @ladykind, @essycal and @amybaby.
Once their accounts were finally set up, they were briefly introduced to the nitty gritty of blogging, microblogging and vlogging on Hive. One of the newbies, @essycal, was on the edge of her seat after receiving warm responses and upvotes from her first short form content on Ecency Waves. She had started earning already. 😂 That's one unique thing about Hive.

To show that SpendHBD wasn't just talk, we all headed to a nearby supermarket, God's Own Supermarket so that they can experience shopping with HBD in real time. Two of the newbies shopped and claimed their discounts from distriator afterwards. Having seen the benefits of shopping with HBD, I'm hopeful that they'll share the word about it to their friends and family members so they can join too. We need everyone onboard.
As this event has come and gone, with a recorded success, I hope for more of its kind to come. Just like I turned up for this one, I'll always be on ground to support in any way possible, any event geared towards making Hive and SpendHBD known in and around my city.
I'm optimistic that in days to come, Hive and SpendHBD will be widely known in my city.
