Hello Splinterlands lovers!
Many of you probably don’t know, but Splinterlands has completed 7 years - 7 glorious years of battling, making strategies and creating content and gladly, it is not only surviving but thriving, actually, while most of the other crypto games are shutting down. Being a player of splinterlands since its birth, I have seen it grow firsthand from a mere vision to a full-fledged game world. It's a priceless experience to witness something you love growing bigger over time and for Splinterlands, no doubt it has done it like a pro. So congrats to all of us splinterlands lovers and I hope our favourite game continues to make new milestones and thrive.
Moving on, today I decided to showcase another amazing Conclave Arcana monster with you all. The newly introduced Conclave Arcana cards are slowly taking over the battle arena in Splinterlands, especially in modern format and changing the way we used to play the game. Players right now are brainstorming to come out with new battle strategies with these new cards and abilities they carry with them. One such card is Abyssal Elemental. First of all, it is the best card that I got as Black Foil out of my 417 CA Alchemy packs and gladly, I received the mint #1 of this card, so for me, it is more of a collectible than just a regular card. But not only for its foil type or mint number, I also like this card for its unmatched raw power and abilities, which I will be sharing with you today. So, if you also own this newly introduced card or have faced it when battling in the arena and want to know more details about these monsters, then let us take a dive without any further ado.
Abyssal Elemental
Abyssal Elemental is one of the powerful mid mana cost cards that got launched with the Conclave Arcana cardset and not to mention it is already attracting eyes and gaining popularity for its high attacking power, defensive stats and abilities. This is a monster card that belongs to the Water element and it costs 6 mana to be used in battles, so you can choose this card while playing medium to high mana limit matches. By rarity, it is an Epic type card, so you will need to merge a total of 46 BCXs of regular cards or 10 BCXs of Gold Foil cards to upgrade it to its max level. Its bloodline group is elemental and its attack type is magic.
Now, I personally have a weak spot for magic attack type cards, because while attacking, they directly target the enemy card’s health, unless that enemy card has Void Shield. So these attack type monsters are very useful to take down enemy cards faster. Looking at its stats, it comes with a high magic attack power, a large health bar, a decent shield on its back and enough speed to attack before the slow monsters. Not only that, but it also comes with 2 awesome abilities- Resurgence and Blast, which help it to perform devastating attacks on enemy monsters.
Resurgence
- It is one of the newly launched abilities that got introduced in the game with Conclave Arcana. With the help of this ability, this monster can self resurrect itself once per battle with 100% health and armour. All magic debuffs are removed, and all magic buffs are reapplied. Skips turn and deals 1 physical damage to all monsters.
This ability alone does the job of multiple abilities and though I don't see this ability being recognised truly yet, hopefully it will be among the most shouted ones in the near future once players understand its true potential. Now, breaking down and analysing this ability, first of all, you get a better version of the Resurrection ability, because whereas with the resurrection ability the revived card only gets 1 health, this card will get revived with a full health bar. The next advantage of this ability is reapplying all the magic buffs and removing any magic debuffs, which will work amazingly on magic monsters, including the Abyssal Elemental. Not to mention, after getting revived, it deals 1 damage to all cards - yes, both friendly and enemy cards, so keep that in mind, especially if you are using low health monsters. The only other downside of this ability is that after getting resurrected, it skips one turn, which resembles the Stun ability. So overall, it is a mixture of flowers and thorns.
Blast
- I am sure all of you are well aware of the OG blast ability. With the help of this ability, this card, upon attacking, also deals an additional 50% damage (rounded up) to the adjacent monsters.
So, if you are looking for some devastating firepower, choosing a monster with a Blast ability might be the best option. Now, as this is a Magic throwing monster, the blast damage will also affect directly to the adjacent monster’s health directly.
Right now, Abyssal Elemental is being sold for 1.13$ per BCX for regular foil, 13.50$ per BCX for Gold Foil and for black foil, the lowest one is listed for 845$. The price may seem a bit high for an epic card, but looking at its overall power, stats and abilities, the price is justified, I think.
I hope you enjoyed reading my post about Abyssal Elemental. Please let me know your thoughts about this monster in the comments section below, and I look forward to seeing you all in my next post.
