Hey, coffe lovers!

I hope you're having a good week ☕️😃

I'm happy that #tcsp is about coffee shop design because I happen to have some recently taken pictures I haven't used of one of my favorite coffee shops, which happens to have one of my favorite decor styles: eclectic? Let's call it eclectic, though it's also "homelike."

"Wow, everything here is so coherent... the design is so coherent"

were my sister's words (@adncabrera's) when she first visited Green Haus Krause, Panes & Café ("Bread & Coffee"), the one I've chosen to answer to #tcsp 119. I had the pleasure to treat her to coffee and breakfast at this beautifully designed café in Lechería, Anzoátegui state.

The concept of this café is “coffee and bread”, and everything follows from there. No non sequiture here. At the counter, you can buy the beans they select and roast themsleves. The beans come from Caripe (Monagas, a neighboring state), specifically from "Finca Quiriquire.". Caripe is known for its quality coffee beans.

“Coffee and bread”

is food from home, from the home that is refuge and relaxation, light conversation over coffee, music so soft and gentle that more than sounding, it's breathing along with the earthy but sophisticated vibes of the house; smell that? The oven's on, aromas come to visit from the kitchen... (If you forget what they charge you for a trio of tostas and a couple of cappuccinos--Oh!) this place feels like home and looks like one, a fancy one.

...Coherent design for delicious coffee and bread 😋

You can see their sign clearly below. I took the photos you'll see here on two different occasions, morning and evening.

I haven't visited as many coffee shops as I'd like,

but there are a few that I'm sure I'll remember when I'm old and have seen coffee made and delivered by some AI or watched--from Earth--some crazy millionaires drinking coffee on Mars. That is, if I make it to old age, of course. Who knows if I'll be one of those immortals already born; maybe my name is on some winning ticket that was already delivered by some soldier who was left behind after Nolan finished Tenet. They say that the Devil is in the details, but there are also kindly elves who play hide and seek. I think there are many of these kindly creatures here.

I love their wood-fired oven

image.png

As you can see, they have a beautiful wood-fired oven where they bake delicious pizzas.

They make the crust with sourdough; in fact, all the bread products here are made with sourdough.

They also roast and grind ther coffee; I've bought their beans a couple of times, but I'll tell you about that some other time. It's medium roast and delicious!

I've been told one of the owners is the chef of the place, and she happens to be from my hometown, Cumaná.

There's a bit of a “cabinet of curiosities” to this café,

so this beautiful this old-world wood-burning oven with its modern tiles ☝️reminiscent of Italy goes in perfect harmony with this stately bonsai reminiscent of Asia 👇

This Christmas plant, our popular papagayo--beautiful to look at but so dangerous to the pets which like to chew on it--looks perfect in blooming May and even more so now with the rains that inaugurate June. Pocket wheels are so reminiscent of the American old western world; they look just perfect here, making a dynamic picture with the bright tropical flowers.

Look at the entrance. Harvest, Christmas, Wicca? Haha. Love it.

Every station has been taken care of in detail to give you that vibe of home and tradition, but always with an elegant touch, and always with that green, natural aura, which is so rewarding when eating or drinking nowadays, in an industrialized world full of preservatives and artificialities.

Look at this liquor bottle display. They do know how to complement design with chic decorations.

There was a uña de danta behind me;

I couldn't find the common name in English (Wikipedia says it's philodendron bipinnatifidum; do you know its name in English?). Ah, I must have it! It reminds me of my house when I was little.

My mother had one on our porch, in the house where I grew up back in the 80's, when life seemed to be easier. We had so much, so much coffee next to a plant just like this one.

They have closed the baking station with glass walls. You can see everything going on there.

The metallic view of stainless steel and machinery is softened by the wooden roof, rustic utensils, and all the beautiful breads.

You can see when they're making the bread, and the place if adorned with

amusing utensils and nice pics that help you really understand the theme of the thing 😆

Fish!

Not my favorite thing to have fish in a fish pond, but for those who like it, here.

This time, my eldest sister (who is not on Hive) and I had drinks and bought bagels and bread to take home. My sister had a yogurt shake, and I had an affogatto. They're really carefull to present their products, and I think that everything looks better on a wooden table.

We were sitting by the glass wall and were able to enjoy the appetizing view. Yum-yum!

Did you notice that beautiful blue butterfly pea flower decorating my affogato. Cute, isn't it?

"All is coherent." I remember my sister's words and I think that that's essential for me to like any decor style, that it is coherent, even if that means being a bit like a cabinet of curiosities.

Every time I visit this coffee shop, I have the feeling that I am presented with a basket of exquisite cookies of all kinds: so many to choose from and so little money, haha. I hope you liked the post 😁 (And I hope you try their cookies if you get the chance; they're really good, as everything they make here.)

All text and images are my own. I have taken the pictures with my Redmi 9T cell phone. And if any GIFs here, I've used GIPHY for all them.

Thank you so much for your visit :)
