Hello everyone! Wishing you a day as fulfilling as mine.
In this post, I'll be sharing how my cousin practiced her wedding makeup on me as her model.
It's Sunday afternoon when she excitedly approached me with a bright smile.
She said that she's been practicing wedding makeup and asked me to be her model.
She wanted to see how her skills look on real skin, and she thinks that I'd make a perfect canvas!
I hesitated for a moment... Imagining the process.
But then I remembered how fun it would be to support her passion.
So to help her, I responded "Sure!"
She started gathering her makeup brushes, palettes, and tools.
She began by carefully prepping my face, explaining her ideas for the wedding look, and asking for my opinions along the way.
She cleanses my face, explaining the importance of a clean canvas.
Next, she applied a hydrating primer to ensure my skin looked flawless and lasted all day.
After that, carefully, she matched a foundation shade on my skin tone, blending it seamlessly with a damp beauty sponge, making my skin appear smooth and radiant.
For my eyes, she chose soft, romantic hues — blush pinks and shimmering champagne.
She expertly used brushes to blend the shadows, creating a nice, yet captivating gradient.
Then she lined my eyes with a precise, small brush, flicking on a thin line of black eyeliner to make my eyes pop.
She finished it with a generous coat of mascara, curling my lashes for an open, wide-eyed effect.
She also added individual false lashes for extra elegance.
Moving to my brows, she gently filled them in with a brow pencil, shaping them to frame my face perfectly, then set them with a clear gel.
On my cheeks, a soft dusting of blush brought a natural glow, and she highlighted the high points on my face — cheekbones, cupid's bow, and brow bones — for a radiant finish.
After that, she turned her attention to my lips, choosing a red lipstick and carefully lining them to define my shape, filling in with a brush.
Following that, her creativity didn't stop at makeup.
She bit by bit ventured into experimenting with my hair.
She tried a classic crown, waving my hair into intricate loops.
She added floral accents to give it a fresh, bridal touch.
Throughout the process, she inspected her work, adjusting as needed, asking for my input, and making sure I felt comfortable and confident.
When she stepped back to admire her masterpiece, I couldn't help but smile at my stunning transformation.
She had truly worked her magic, making me feel like a radiant bride ready for my special day.
Until our next makeup modeling... Buh-bye. 👋😍
