When I saw this bull, I thought we were close to home. Spain, what else would you think when you see this animal, almost like an iconic symbol of a country in southern Europe? A wild spirit wearing an abstract blanket on its body, a mixture of warm red colour, black and white. And when you get closer to this sculpture, you come back to reality while reading sentences in a language you don't really understand. We were not in Spain yet!
Ok, the names can be understood. This board says that the name of the artwork is Triangle Bull, the author is Martin Thamer and that this sculpture was created in 2017. I think, if I understand well, this is the third version of this sculpture, but as I say, I don't understand this language well enough to fully confirm that to you. I just found this short biography about the author of this artwork, though it is also in German, except for one sentence, which is in English:
Find what you love and let it kill you!
(Charles Bukowski)
What is certain is that when I took the picture of this bull, we were still in Austria, at the airport of the city of Klagenfurt. After our improvised picnic with other Hivers, we took the bus to Klagenfurt, made a quick city tour through its centre, ate some ice cream and went to the airport... just to learn there that our flight was delayed.
The air was fresh outside, so we decided to spend some time in the surroundings (that's when I spotted the bull) until we were called to immediately go to the security check and proceed to the gate that corresponds to our flight.
I don't know why we had to do that, to sit in a small waiting room for the next two and a half hours. ๐คทโโ
Oh, an interesting thing happened just to continue the same spirit as the day began. Another alarm went off ๐. This time it wasn't a bomb alarm like at the Graz train station, but a small child, actually a toddler (who was completely out of his parents' control btw) pushed the emergency door of this waiting room, and that's when the alarm went off. ๐ Security arrived immediately, followed by two airport maintenance technicians. A few minutes later, the alarm was still on because they couldn't fix the door; they said it was kaput. ๐
At least it was a funny moment (not so funny for the parents of this little boy), as the rest of the time was just sitting in the overcrowded waiting room... waiting for a miracle! Yes, you see, the mobile passenger boarding bridges were waiting too for a miracle, but I found it indeed on the shelves while I was trying to entertain myself in the duty-free shop. It comes in liquid form and smells nice.
This one smells like heaven. Poeme by Lancome is a perfume I have at home, however, it is almost empty. I already wanted to buy a new bottle some weeks ago. So, this had a very good price (half of what it normally costs), but the problem was that this was still at the Alicante Airport. The direction was wrong ๐ I couldn't take it to Austria and then back to Spain.
The selection at this airport in Klagenfurt was not so wide. Even then, I found some interesting ones, for example, the pink perfume (another one by Lancome). I had it and also spent it many years ago. How could I not try it if it already said, try me? It would be impossible to refuse the offer, but then the real miracle happened.
Our plane arrived, and people in the waiting room applauded hahaha. Finally, we will be heading for that country with bulls by the roads! I had just chocolate in my luggage (thank you @ninaeatshere, your gift saved me as I was hungry without food), which I opened on the plane. I am not sure what miracles can happen in life, some of them we can design, others happen without our influence; in some moments we just need to try perfumes, taste good chocolate, receive and give good energy and survive this adventure where we breathe and feel life.
