The day has finally come! I've been looking forward to seeing Jurassic World Rebirth for months, and today I got to see it in the theater. As a die-hard fan of the Jurassic World franchise, I can say that this movie exceeded my expectations. It's not just a movie, it's an adventure—a mix of dinosaurs, danger, and a mission for humanity. So let's talk about why I liked this movie so much, what its unique aspects are, how it connects to the franchise, whose performances impressed me, and what else I didn't like.
First of all, the reason I liked Jurassic World Rebirth so much is because of its depth of story and intensity of action. The movie shows a world in 2027, where dinosaurs live on the same planet as humans. This idea has drawn me in from the start. After the events of Jurassic World Dominion, this movie brings a new story that can be enjoyed independently, even though it is connected to the old franchise. The story centers around Martin, a pharmaceutical company executive who embarks on a mission to collect the blood of three types of dinosaurs—Mosasaurs, Titanosaurus, and Quetzalcoatlus. The plan is to use this blood to create a heart disease drug that could save 20% of the world's population. There is a moral conflict behind this mission, which makes the story even more interesting. Action with dinosaurs, an expedition to a dangerous island, and this moral question—all of these things made the movie win my heart.
What sets Jurassic World Rebirth apart is its new perspective. It's not just a story about chasing dinosaurs or running away from them. It shows an attempt to use dinosaur biology to save human lives, which is a new twist from previous movies in the franchise. In particular, the ruins of the abandoned lab of the Ingen company and the entry of a mutated T-Rex give the movie a terrifying thrill. In addition, the idea of dinosaurs living on islands near the equator is presented so realistically that I felt lost in the island. And most importantly, the visuals of this movie—especially the scenes of Mosasaurus in the water and the scenes of Quetzalcoatlus flying in the sky—had me glued to the screen.
Although this movie is connected to the Jurassic World franchise, it is a standalone story. After the events of Jurassic World Dominion, dinosaurs are coexisting with humans in this world, and this movie adds a new chapter to that continuity. However, even if you have not seen the previous movies, you will still have no problem understanding the story. It brings back the excitement of the early days of Jurassic Park, but with a modern twist. The mention of the old lab of the Ingen company and the theme of mutation bring a touch of nostalgia for old fans, and opens the door to a new story for new viewers.
Speaking of acting, Scarlett Johansson's character as Zora caught my attention. Her powerful presence as a former commando and her skill in fight scenes set the screen on fire. There was also a human side to her character, especially when she leads the team and ultimately decides to release the dinosaur blood to everyone. Dr. Henry is also a great character—her love and knowledge of dinosaurs deepened the scientific aspect of the movie. I also really liked Duncan's character, especially in his sacrifice scene. However, Martin's character was a bit of a letdown towards the end, as his betrayal was somewhat expected. Still, overall, the performances blended in nicely with the story.
On the downside, I found some parts of the movie a bit rushed. In particular, I would have liked the story of Robin and his family to be a little deeper. Their characters felt a bit like background, not fully integrated into the main plot of the story. And the plot of Martin's betrayal seemed a bit cliché to me. But these minor weaknesses pale in comparison to the overall thrill of the movie.
Why should you watch this movie? Because it's not just a dinosaur story, it's a human story—a reflection of humanity's struggle for survival, moral conflicts, and our relationship with nature. The action, suspense, and visual magic will keep you glued to the screen. Watching this movie on the big screen in a theater is a completely different experience. So, whether you're a Jurassic World fan or not, this movie won't disappoint you. Don't delay and grab your tickets.
