Greetings and blessings to all those hivens who love good food, desserts and much more, I am grateful to those who share this community because through it I have learned to prepare and vary the menu at home. What better recipe book than each of these delicious recipes prepared by my dear friends of @hivefood.
There are flavors that take us straight back to our childhood, to grandma's kitchen or to those family gatherings where joy was savored in every bite. If you are one of those who believe that true magic resides in what is made with love, then you know what I am talking about when I mention homemade quesillo. It is not just a dessert; it is a tradition, an art that passes from generation to generation and the result is an unparalleled delight.
Today I would like to share with you a delicious dessert called Quesillo casero, others call it pudding, it looks similar but it is a little different, it is very simple and quick to prepare, here are the ingredients.
- condensed milk of 395 g.
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup of liquid milk.
***For the caramel
-
1 cup sugar
-
1 cup water
-
1/2 lemon juice
In the blender I start adding the whole eggs, while it is blending I add the condensed milk little by little, then I add the cup of liquid milk, as a problem arose because the blender got stuck, I had to turn to the electric mixer and beat for a few minutes until the ingredients have been well compacted, And reserve
Now it is my turn to prepare the caramel, in a frying pan I took it to the stove over medium heat and added the cup of sugar, while it began to caramelize I added the addition of half a lemon, then the cup of sugar, I waited a few minutes until the caramel was formed.
In a bowl I add the caramel, the mixture that I had reserved I also add it to the same, and then take it back to the stove in a bain-marie.
I took a cauldron to the stove over medium heat, put the bowl with the prepared mixture, then I added in it to cook in a bain-marie, water that is half of the bowl, cover it well so that as it cooks, no water enters the bowl, so let it cook for forty minutes.
Here you can see this beauty of quesillo, everything that is prepared with love and dedication is brutal.
Finally, as my granddaughter was turning three years old, I took it to the family reunion so that those present could taste it, and I heard many compliments from them.
Thank you for your attention, the photos are of my property taken with my cell phone tecno spark 20C and the translator I use is deepl, blessings to all and a fraternal embrace.
